Well a great day to be hanging out in the woods. Made great progress on Hole 2 - Cut paths leading from Hole 1 into the area of the Pro and Am pads. The walking trail cut last weekend turned into a fairway. Three apple trees and several larger hardwoods on this hole. Probably will push the pin placement even further back but will need to see how hole 9 looks when it is re-cleared (summer growth), it too will probably be made longer. Hole 2 and Hole 9 pins are sort of back to back and so as they mature from rough cut we can maximize these two holes.
Holes 3 & 10 just have walking trails to enable getting a feel for the terrain and will be the next big fun. Then the Chill zone (break area) can be cut out at the cross roads between these 4 holes. Hole 18 would then be the last big clearing job - after that it is just mowing a few holes in the meadows.
Holes 4,5,6,7,8,16,17 are all cleared enough to being play and tweak. 4,6,7 need some mowing which should last all winter once done.

Oh also unanimously voted Deliver Guy of the Day - Mike Hunt doing the Awesome Aubrey delivery thing - not only delivered to the back woods of Rolling but went full service picking up refreshments to go with an awesome pizza that could not have tasted better sitting under an apple tree looking over a new cut fairway - THANKS Mike & Chris I had a great day and it's awesome seeing these holes emerging from the woods.
Next Saturday we will do it again for those who are bummed they missed the opportunity to come out and make their mark on the new course. We saved you a few things to cut and even a few layout decisions remain...
