Hey guys, never played a tournament before so have no idea how it works. The guys I usually play with have been hassling me all summer to enter one. My 11-year-old son would like to play as well. Couple questions...Is it possible for he and I to play together if we're in different divisions? Also, how long (ballpark) should we anticipate? 4 hrs? Thanks!
time wise id allow 2.5-3.5 hours per round, Plus 1 hour lunch. Then payouts..
If there is a quick and dirty explanation of Recreational vs. Novice I'd love to hear it. Google's answers helped me none. Again, please excuse my ignorance. Thanks!

Andrea. If it's your first tournament, I would suggest play oh in the lowest division that is available that day. Sadly, few women will be there, so you may have to play in the lowest men's division. Of course I will put you on a card with your son. This event is 2 rounds and there will be an hour break between rounds for lunch. The day shld end at around 5.
