Well we saw record attendance tonight . . . I am not sure if everyone wanted to see the Camel Trophies from last season . . . or if they came to try to get their share of the Birdie Club . . . but either way we had 37 people in attendance tonight.. It started at $222 and add in $104 between tonight's league entries and the rest of Pete's money and we were over $320. Only one person (Robin Pederson) who paid into the Birdie club hit 4/5 and took home $33 . . while another person hit 4/5 but didn't enter the contest.
The Ace Pool was also hit tonight by Mike Finley for $35.
I am surprised by some of the scoring tonight. There were some double digit rounds . . . but not as many as I would have expected to be honest. (-9) was the last cash in Open . . . when (-9) was one of the better scores we saw the entire summer season on the tougher setups. I most certainly expected 1 person out of the 16 Open and 10 others who entered the Birdie Club tonight.
Either way we move on with the Birdie Club at almost $300 going into next week.
Sometime during the last session of league . . .Pete Parsons from Mad Hatter had given me all of his leftover Ace and Birdie Club money from leagues last year . . . and we have slowly been introducing that over the course of the entire season . . . well it is officially all in the Birdie Club and the Ace Pool is clean so it is all gone. We rely on our own money to keep growing those pools!
Whoever hits the full Birdie Club will most certainly catch some grief from those around . . . all we ask for are some scraps from your Steak Dinner! Maybe buy us a drink . . . or throw some appetizers our way at Aliota's after league.
