Got a State Berth?

Yes the 2014 MiCPS season is over but leagues/clubs have one week, until Aug 2nd, to post old rounds and make any corrections, link players etc. before the leaderboard locks for good.

I'm in the process of going down the DGLA Player leaderboard to verify who has already won state berths as many players at the top of the leaderboard already have berths and so others have a chance at a berth. Hopefully I get replies to all the messages so I can post on Sunday and submit the berth winner names to the MDGO so the berth winners can register before Aug 22th when any unclaimed berths get recycled to the last Chance Qualifier tournament on the Friday before States.

Leagues and Clubs - Please send your berth winner info to the MDGO who organize this great event each year so your winners can claim register before Aug 22th. You can submit the berth winner information here: http://test.mdgo.org/wp/birth-winners/ via the web form on thier new and improved MDGO.Org website.

Once your berth information is submitted then the winner can register for the event. Don't wait many divisions fill up and you run the risk of your berth being run through the shredder to be recycled after the 22nd.

If you did not secure your berth this season you can still be a part of the biggest event of the year in Michigan. The last chance qualifier is your golden ticket and for several divisions that are under represented such as women, youth and the Life Experienced aka the old guys ;-) there is a much greater chance to be a part of the fun with friends from all over the state:

So reminder to leagues to ensure your rounds are posted and your berths a reported to MDGO from tournaments/leagues so the winners can register and guarantee their spot.

Berth winners - make sure you register before Aug 22nd. If you do not see your berth listed on the tournament page you can send MDGO a message from the same page and they will see if they can help confirm your berth award.

For everyone else kick butt at the last chance qualifier or come out and enjoy the event as a spectator and party afterwards with all your new and old friends on top of Mount Discraft.

So official DGLA 2014 MiCPS standings and berths will be made on Sunday Aug 3rd. Thanks for a great summer season.
