What's the current state of this course? Is it still pretty muddy or snowed over? I've never played here before and it's an hour and a half drive from where I live. I was considering taking a road trip here with a couple buddies in the middle of the week next week. Also, any other decent courses we should check out near this one?

haven't been out there since the march mush, and there was still a little snow on the course then, I assume there's still a little snow out there now and some areas will be quite muddy, but also playable. Which direction are you coming from, north or south of the course?

Reed park is north of sleepy and it's a fun layout. Burchfield park in holt is south and is championship golf at its finest. Burch is pay to play. I'd check out the scene page for details.

I just took a walkabout on Monday at Sleepy. I live about 4 minutes from it so i play there alot. I feel like its pretty trashed. lots of downed brush in faireays and trails, extremely muddy. There are a few small rivers forming on holes 2,3, and 13. Some of the pads are near submerged, and its real ... more

Wow. Thanks for volunteering. Normally the ccr has to plan a day to get out there. The sooner we get this done, even if it's one player at a time, the better!

Looks like the near-endless winter took its toll.

Matt Rinker   April 4, 2014 at 7:03am

Yeah. We spent many hours out there in March clearing what we could. But there was still too much snow on the ground to get a lot of the bigger branches. Trust me, it wld be twice as bad if we hadn't been out there for a week straight clearing what we could. Still plenty to be done on all the lansing area courses.

I shudder to think what the park in DeWitt looks like

Valley Farms in DeWitt? It's actually not as bad as you would think. There is a big tree down on 1's teepad, but that is pretty much it. Women's league has been out there twice in the last 3 weeks.
