Just wanted to get some feedback for a potential fundraiser. There was a little bit of discussion at our last meeting about producing t-shirts that we could sell to help raise money for competition/travel expenses. Here's a quick design I put together. We can have these made by The Graphic Edge for $5.99 each ($7.49 for XXL+).

I like them for the most part! But I don't know how I feel about the chains on it.. Is there any way to fit a basket somewhere like on the jerseys?
and would we plan on selling them for $10? or $15? or even $20?
With the current text configuration, I couldn't find a way to make a basket look fitting. I was thinking these should go for $15 a shirt.
I'd buy two of them for myself haha. When are we going to start this?
Would it be against the rules to change the word club to team? I feel like that sounds cooler than club lol
Instead of having the chains be cut out from the bar of color can you just have colored chains instead?
Or did that not give much separation between the letters?
Haha team does sound better than club.
I think he's trying to do a one color screen print, adding a second would probably add a bit to the cost Ian.
And I agree, if we can do team I'd like that better. We just need to do it. It costs the club nothing. So, how do we start Josh?
To address a couple of the comments: (1) I think we're stuck with the word "club" due to University vs. Athletics restrictions on word use. (2) Ian, did you mean take out the horizontal bar and just have the chains as part of the one color? (3) I'm going over a few different vari ... more

(3) I'm going over a few different variations of the design and I'll post those when I have them ready. Other than that, we can start taking pre-orders once we finalize the design and get it approved by Trademark & Licensing.
Still have to use the word club even though they won't be worn in competition? I feel like we might get more outside support with the word team.
And if that's not a option could we possibly just cut out the word club and just say KSU Disc Golf?
Take it up with Trademark & Licensing :P Big issue between being recognized as a Varsity Athletics team and a sports club through the Rec. Some teams go by "Club Volleyball" or "Club Soccer". I could possibly insert a line under KSU that says "Club Sports" and then a separate line that says "Disc Golf".
Or you can say club team? so KSU disc golf club team?
or KSU disc golf would be good too
are we allowed to use the powercat at all?
We could say "Club Team" but that adds more text to that line, which would mean shrinking it down some to fit horizontally. Again, has to somehow reference "club sports", "club", "club team", "sport club", etc. We cannot use the Powercat within the mark, it would need its own separate placement as a stand-alone element. Adding a second print location would increase the cost of the shirts.
Ok, I was just curious. You did a great job with the jerseys so I'm sure these will turn out well as well.
I think I'm one of those "outside support" people refered to above. I'd be more interested in buying & wearing a tee shirt that is correctly labled as per the University...
Also an opinion from me on the outside looking in, you guys appear to be a Club that creates internal Teams (when needed) in order compete in specific events. The rest of the time, you are a club working to advance the sport in general.
They will probably start a Varsity team soon.
Yeah Josh for the chains I was saying just having the chains, same color as the text to keep it all one color
Here is an updated sheet with some variations to choose from: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0dgJ-mhNBbyU1VIeVdwdVgtZUk/edit?usp=sharing
I like 4 or 6. Although if we changed the throwing dude to a basket that might be cool, but I like it either way.
I like 1, 4, 6, and 8.
I like 3 and 6.

Some of my friends said that they would be a little hesitant to buy a shirt because it would look like they are on the disc golf team, when they are not. And some of them are just hesitant because its a disc golf shirt and they don't play disc golf. So to get more money for nationals we might think of another fundraiser on top of this to get money from people outside just the manhattan disc golf community.

#1 and #4 get my vote. Regarding your comment, David, the shirts are meant to promote the disc golf club. I don't know what other design could be implemented as a fundraiser shirt without making a reference to the club or disc golf in general. Varney's, the Campus Store, and Walmart sell g ... more

I don't know what other design could be implemented as a fundraiser shirt without making a reference to the club or disc golf in general. Varney's, the Campus Store, and Walmart sell generic K-State apparel. Tell your friends that they can join the club if they're concerned about being mistaken for being associated with the club :P
haha, yeah, that's what I told them, I'm just saying that we should try to think of other fundraisers to raise money from others outside the disc golf community as well! Because I can see a lot of the disc golf community buying these shirts to support us, which is great! But it would be a little harder to get others to help us out with this. Does that make sense?
Yeah, that's understandable. If you have any ideas, feel free to share with Travis or me and we can see what we can do.
Lots of votes for six. a couple for four. so 6 wins?
Only half of the club chimed in. If we're going with #6, I'd like to make a couple of changes to the design. The wording is very similar to our competition jerseys which I was trying to stay away from in the initial designs.
I'm really liking this configuration: http://www.discgolfscene.com/media/207849_g.jpg
I think I like the original 6 better. Also looking at them again, 3 is growing on me.
