My friends and I have partnered with the City of Lehi to get ssome course improvements made for the Dry Creek Trail Park 9 hole course. Recently the city was able to install some new pin positions for us. We have cut the old locks, moved baskets around and secured them with keys that we have control of moving around from time to time per our agreement with the city. Currently the only holes that remain to be moved are #2, #4, and #8. If you have not played this course in a while you should come check it out and let us know what you think!
Correction... also we have hole #5 still waiting on a new pin to be installed before it gets moved.
Played a round through and could tell that some work had been put in on hole 8, in terms of clean up, and the new basket positions were a nice change. Thanks for putting in work on the course!
Glad you like it. The city has made some major efforts this past year to clean up trees, brush and debris around the park. It really does look great. Also we now have alternate pin positions for all holes. Only Hole #4 cannot be moved yet due to an issue with how the basket was installed, but we'll get that fixed soon too.
Thanks for the info. I was really hoping to find some information on all the changes somewhere. I love that this course gets so much love. Thanks for all this. Can't wait to see it done. Let me know if you need any help.
Just went and played Dry Creek. I was thinking, if its not too late, you should add some practice spots around the putting basket like Riverpark has. Those are really cool and would let help people practice putting. Thoughts?
Hi Eric, I'm open to the idea, but need a little more clarity as to what it is that Riverpark has that you would like to see at Dry Creek. There is a practice basket already installed just north of the playground. What would you be recommending in addition to the basket?
Yeah. I was thinking since there's already the basket there it should be pretty easy to do. They are just small concrete practice spots placed around the basket. About 8" x 12" or about the size of your foot and just placed 5', 10', 15', 20', etc... away from the b ... more

About 8" x 12" or about the size of your foot and just placed 5', 10', 15', 20', etc... away from the basket however you want to arrange them. You can then use them for putting games with friends or just for practice, so you know your distance away from the basket. I think it would make the practice basket more functional and should be pretty easy to put in.
Cool idea! I have actually never seen that done, but sounds great to me. Would they be 8" or 12" squares? I can pitch it to Lehi and see what they think.
Thanks. Yeah, i thought it was a really neat idea. I would think 12" squares would work. You could even do them with the .99 cent paver stones if you wanted to get really cheap and easy. I haven't been up to Riverpark this year, but i'll try to get up there and get measurements and maybe some pictures. It seems like they were concrete rectangles with numbers stamped in the concrete.
Sounds great Eric. I look forward to seeing some images and whatever additional information you can gather. Just shoot me a private message at that point and we'll go from there.
