I hope to see some D.O.R.C.s stick around for CCDG Sunday Random Doubles after the D.O.R.C.s round at Taloali. DGLA Oregon Cooperative Points Series scores rounds from both leagues.
I got a question for ya Beast. Why has it seemed that DORCs has been going to the same place as other tourneys/leagues? Never seemed to be that way before. Maybe I'm just noticing it now. Just do t think DORCs needs to attach itself to others to continue to flourish.
Good question. The D.O.R.C.s schedule is reworked about twice a month to either share players to other events, or to not conflict with other events. That distinction is made by the other host Tournament directors and myself mostly by PM. However I prefer to serve the D.O.R.C.s players via this threa ...

That distinction is made by the other host Tournament directors and myself mostly by PM. However I prefer to serve the D.O.R.C.s players via this thread as my 1st priority. The problem with that is more often than not no one chimes in here. I won't schedule D.O.R.C.s where we are not welcome before any other event. Most TDs are happy to have the chance to have the D.O.R.C.s warm up before their event. D.O.R.C.s does not aim to "attach" itself to other events, but possibly aid that events turnout.
I know Beast that you are trying to meet the masses. Good job on trying to keep others in the loop too. I did find out something new today though. I know Beast that you are trying to meet the masses. Good job on trying to keep others in the loop too. I did find out something new today though. If you look at what happens if you play more than two rounds in week, it drops your worst point scored round which seems really weird. I read through the rules and it seems as though it really only wants you to play 2 good league rounds a week, and if you play more and do better, it drops your worst! Crazy! So since I've already played 3 leagues rounds this week, I think I'm done until Wednesday :)
I was aware of that and I seldom play two rounds a week. However DGLA O.C.P.S. has drawn me out to other leagues to try to understand what defines your "worst" round. Is it the least points earned or is it related to par? If it is points, it could never hurt to score more than 2 rounds. Besides I need the practice:)
D.O.R.C.s tradition of early start and the fact that there is NEVER any money on the line put the league in a unique position to do things other leagues can not like "FUNky format", schedule with other events starting later, and score rounds to beginners whom otherwise might be too intimid ...

With that in mind think of how on a long term scale D.O.R.C.s could contribute to disc golf in this area.

I was thinking the same thing....

Yeah it actually helps! Like if you got a 4th and two 2nds, it gets rid of the 4th! Crazy! And yeah we all need the practice :)

Thanks for the answer Beast. Was more curious then anything. See you in the AM!
