DFOK News: Upcoming Leagues + Fairmont Construction Update.

UPCOMING DFOK LEAGUES:
Another beautify fall season is upon us, and of course winter is right around the corner.
However, don't pack away your disc golf equipment for the winter. A couple official DFOK leagues are about to kick off.

The first is the return of the DFOK Winter Glow League. This year the Glow League will be held on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at Fairmont Park.

The second & third are the return of the combined DFOK Points League and DFOK Bag Tag League. These leagues will take place (simultaneously) on Sunday afternoons at 1:30pm at Fairmont Park throughout the winter months. Then in the spring of 2014, this league will move it's events to Wednesday nights at Warner Park.

FAIRMONT COURSE CONSTRUCTION:
The official & permanent disc golf signage is still a work in progress. The map & sponsor artwork is completed for all of the 18 tee signs, plus a new "main sign". The project now rests in the hands of the Riley County Parks staff members and the sign contractor. They have started building the frame for the new main sign, however they have not started working on the tee signs.

Also, Riley County Parks has the required funds & approvals to build the remaining 9 concrete tee pads sometime in the near future. An exact date (or season) is unknown as of right now.

Stay tuned here for the latest on the progress of that project.

Sincerely,
Rick Petrie

I assume you mean 7 remaining tee pads, since we've already got 11.

Ya. That was one of my classic blunders when I post too late in the evening... I meant front 9 tee pads.
