THE FORMULA: Following the final bag tag round to be held on Sunday, May 4th, the player with the lowest number using the following formula will be declared the winner: Average tag number as a function of the total number of rounds played with each number divided by the number of times the tag was defended/challenged for. Note that a tag can be defended/challenged for multiple times in one round! For instance if two of us play a round of singles, each of us will have defended/challenged for a tag 1 time. However, If four of us play a round of singles, each of us will have defended/challenged for a tag 3 times! In doubles, the number of teams (not individuals) against which the tag is defended/challenged for is the number.

To further exemplify how the formula will work, there were 11 players who competed for the initial tag assignments on Sept. 8th. Each person's starting "number" was calculated as follows: Their tag number average now (times this first round of golf) will be their tag number! That number gets divided by 10--which is the total number of 'defenses/challenges.' Lets take Bryan Murphy, for instance. His "number" is his tag average "4" divided by 10....so his initial "number" was: .40
