Daylight will most likely restrict us to 18 holes (we'll play 20 if possible) so be there and ready to play at 5:45. All players will start on holes 10 through 19 and play ALL of these woods holes first, then returning to hole 20 through 7. We will only play holes 8 & 9 if there is enough daylight but most likely not. All ties will be settled on hole 7 with 1 toss each for the CTP (cali players get 2 throws against partners, if all ties are cali teams, 1 shot each). CTP rules are slightly different, PLEASE read... any metal at all, post included and the throw hitting metal will be considered as touching the base of the post. If there is again a tie, each player gets 1 additional tie breaker shot on the same hole. At approximately 5:45, guests and casual players at the grand opening will be invited to accompany course designer Ron Peludat for some disc golfing introduction while walking and trowing holes 1 through 7 as time allows. Also, any guest to the grand opening will be invited to join the tournament players as spectators while they play holes 10 through 19. Monday September 23rd, 2013 is a Grand Opening Ceremony for the Old Airport DGC in AuGres, MI. The details of the ceremony and tournament follows - At 5:00pm the city will do a welcome and give some thank you's to contributors, developers and volunteers. A brief explanation and demo of disc golf will follow. Hot dogs are being cooked by the AuGres Police Chief from 5:00 until 6:30 or so. The city will be giving away some prizes (t-shirt, hoodie, gift certificate for camping) in a drawing, all in attendance can enter, need not to be present to win.
