UPDATE - The NEW Old Airport DGC now has 20 baskets planted. 10 holes from the original layout were altered and make up the front 9, with 10 new holes going into an entirely different area of woods. Hole 20 was the original hole 18 but is now longer and has a slightly different basket location. Playing and navigating this course will be tough for awhile yet, please be patient if you visit and play. The rest of the summer will be used to groom and place signs and with everyone's help and patience, by fall AuGres will have a course to be proud of. We didn't get the exact measurements of all the holes but by my estimates the front 9 has 2 holes that exceed 600' and I expect that the newly designed hole 20 is nearing 500'. Last night, with the basket cement curing, Ron and I shot all of the new holes within the woods and I'm telling you, this is an entirely new course !!! Anyone that knows Ron undoubtedly knows about his WOOO HOOO shouts (actually more like a wolf howling). Well, yesterday he howled each time a basket went into it's hole. By 6:30 last night Ron howled 20 times really loud, I don't know that I've ever seen any disc golfer as happy. Make certain to give Ron a huge thanks for deciding 14 years ago that "if you build it, they will eventually get behind the project and then they will come".
