partial rain-out...the scores will be posted after a ctp for 2nd place to be done before next week's scramble. scores were decided using mutual holes played, as the storm made finishing impossible. hopefully we will get better conditions next week.

I still call BS on this one... Need a better ruling for the future. Winners played 5 extra holes and only won by 2. Using same holes played should be irrelevant. Definitely 2 birdie opportunities out there for the groups that were unable to finish. Gyo and Eric, what are your thoughts?

Larry Bright Jr.   July 10, 2013 at 6:06am

the extra holes that the other team played were eliminated to make it fair. there was no other option, as i didn't see anyone willing to go back out in that storm. with the lightning, calling it was the only fair option.

Larry Bright Jr.   July 10, 2013 at 6:31am

besides, nobody else proposed anything else that was logical. we waited 20 minutes for the storm to pass. when it didn't, we mutually called it. it was a group decision.

What happ?

duane koczan   July 10, 2013 at 9:11am

If for some reason the weather gets bad and unplayable and we must stop play and cannot continue........everybody gets there entry back! They dont get the ace fund back just because I feel if somebody hits a ace during league , but we must stop or they cant finish do to weather that person should still gett he ace pot.

Larry Bright Jr.   July 10, 2013 at 10:55am

if people hadn't left, i could give entries back, but 1/2 the group left when the storm hit, so that wasn't an option.

Under the circumstances, I think Larry made the right decision here. Most of the time, you can finish, that night, no way.

duane koczan   July 10, 2013 at 12:56pm

just saying thats what I do for the Wed league. You could alway give them cash back the following monday. like a said, just giving you a example from another league

Im with Duane. if people, leave then they don't care. If lesz than half the course is played, i would give everyone their money back who stayed. Remainder gets rolled over to the next week. If more than half the course is played mutually, then compare mutual holes and pay out. Not fun trying to please everyone is it?

Larry Bright Jr.   July 10, 2013 at 4:56pm

gyo...i stand by my decision and this will be the way it is handled moving forward. one card played all 21 holes, while the other was limited to 16. i agree if it was less than 1/2 the course, a refund would be in order. but 16 out of 21 is enough to decide a winner. besides, it's $5...if p ... more

Nobody is getting pissy... Just looking for opinions. Chillax

Larry Bright Jr.   July 10, 2013 at 7:36pm

lol...you know what i mean. people get too uptight about these scrambles. they're supposed to be fun, and that's the bottom line!!

Bill Perry   July 10, 2013 at 7:40pm

No doubt!

Joseph Latina   July 13, 2013 at 12:36pm

sorry have to say it....pot calling the kettle black

If a group completed the course and another was over half way i think using the holes that were shared was a fair way to determine a winner.
