DFOK Meeting Decisions from Last Night (6/27)

The following are the DFOK Meeting Decisions from Last Night (6/27).
Much discussion took place to arrive at these decisions (from 5:30pm to 8:00pm).

1. All decisions about the Rules and Schedule for the 2013-2014 Points League & Bag Tag League were postponed to the next DFOK Meeting.

2. The decision of what bag tag design to use for the 2013-2014 League Bag Tags was postponed to the next DFOK Meeting.

3. The next DFOK Meeting was scheduled for WEDNESDAY JULY 17th at the Manhattan Public Library. Exact time to be published at a later date (Most likely at 5:45 to 8:00pm).

4. In order to assist Riley County Parks staff in getting the Fairmont Park "utility locate" process started, all interested DFOK members will meet at Fairmont Park to flag the likely locations of pin & tee box placements. The phrase "utility locate" is used to describe when the the "dig safe" technicians mark where you can't dig due to buried utilities. This meeting was scheduled to take place on SUNDAY, JUNE 30th AT 9:00AM. Keep in mind, this is only so a third party can show where buried utilities are located, then we can make our final decisions on where baskets & tee pads will be located.
Note: Only 11 tee pads will be constructed by Riley County this time around. The following 7 will be constructed later in the year, or later.

5. Much discussion went into figuring out (a) how to recognize the $50 Group Sponsorship participants on the main sign while staying within the confines of our widely distributed Sponsorship Flyer, also (b) how to fit all the Fairmont sponsors names (old & new sponsors) into one area on the New Main sign. It was suggested that it would work the best if all 10 of the $50 sponsors were shown on the same tee sign (#4). Then those two groups would we needed to decide if they are okay with being recognized on the main sign under one nickname for their group OR should it be under two separate nicknames on the main sign. In other words, we need to hear back from members (or representatives) from each of the 2 Group Sponsorship donors, in order to make a final decision.
