Little help from a local? What is the story with Devil's Den, Rivers Edge and Burchfield. Three courses? Are they all open? Have anyone played the course with Deep Woods Off, or is that not helpful. Skeeters are horrible everywhere right now. We are thinking about heading up that way to play for a day or two. Any feedback would be great.
Burchfield park has two 18 hole courses, devils den and rivers edge. both are open. for sure take some bug spray.
Thank Kyle, poison ivy and skeeters always part of a disc golfer exsistance huh?
Skeeters are horrible there, would recomend at least 40% deet
Burchfield is just the name of the park, it has two pay-to-play courses on it, Devil's Den and Rivers Edge. DD is fairly wide open course with some man made obstacles and hazards. Bugs should be a lot less annoying on this course. Rivers Edge is a tough course through the woods and by the river. I imagine the skeeters will be horrible on this course, so def stock up on spray.

We were using off deep woodsman deet, which claims to be 98% and it was more or less useless. We reapplied it several times to no avail. The course had been flooded earlier last month and there is still some standing water back there. If you must go I highly recommend long sleeves with minimal skin exposure. Atleast there won't be a bunch of casuals around :) Oh, and I've played both courses recently the bugs are not much better at all on the devils den course (its called renegades trail now fyi)
Thanks Larry, did not know of the name change!
Thanks a ton, you guys are great. Hope to get out on get beat up by these courses and the mosquitos.
