Played a round on Rivers Edge Friday afternoon/evening and I'm just really curious as to why they chose to put large brush piles in the middle of the fairway on holes 3 and 5. Are they going to be ignited in the morning for some more fire hazard fun like we had for glo in the snow?
They were supposed to take care of those before the tourney. The brush pile are all loose sticks and whatnot that were pulled from 3s and 4s fairway, while the pile on 5 was from the wooded area around there. These pile were created by non-disc golfing volunteers helping keep our courses clean :) Lets just hope the park help to keep them clear...
If not Im in favor of the fire hazard
oh come on, Luke.... a little fire under your ass couldn't hurt :)
Yes they are great! You aim your disc over the fire and the draft from the flames gives you some extra distance! lol I figured they were staying put unless some park workers are feeling froggy in the morning. Just thought I'd post a heads up so atleast some people are aware.
