If you bypass the gate entrance, don't be surprised when you have to pay 250$ or whatever to get your car out of impound. It's pretty simple, and it's their rules. They had 10+ people this morning do that, and it's a serious issue for Lakeshore Security. Follow the simple rules, wait in line and stop at the gate, or, walk home. Thank you!
you pesky disc golfers :P
Better not tow my car. They might have an extremely disgruntled resident if they do.
Also, they might want to have a sign stating that golfers need to check in too. I think part of the problem is that people don't realize they are expected to stop at the gate if they aren't actually going into the apartment complex.
I don't know where they found directions then, becuase it's pretty clear if you did anywhere I put them, what to do. Plus, it's common sense. These people know they're supposed to, they just don't want to wait in line. It's giving management a major headache. Signs may ... more

These people know they're supposed to, they just don't want to wait in line. It's giving management a major headache. Signs may be possible soon. I'm asking everyone to inform anyone they see doing that to go back and check in, self-police. It's a BENEFIT for the disc golf course. They want to know how many people are coming in each day, the more they count, the happier they are with us being here, and we might get more stuff.
Sounds like the association will have to get rid of the course. Too bad. I've seen many lush bombs there.
I don't see that happening, but I do see cars being towed. So please help out and do your part! I doubt it's likely even anyone who is serious enough to be on DGS, but help out by letting people know if you see them do it.
Precisely why they need a sign at the front gate stating golfers need to check in or risk being towed. 90% of those that play there aren't on this site.
Working with them on what to do, common sense isn't common these days
I'd like to point out that this site only captures X amount of disc golfers. Most won't even see your post unless they follow Lakeshore or you Ben. Dan is right, if they want to get everyone on the same page then post a sign dictating what the rule is. I come in contact daily with peopl ... more

Dan is right, if they want to get everyone on the same page then post a sign dictating what the rule is. I come in contact daily with people in the DG world who have no idea about this website. If we as a society could handle common sense they we wouldn't have warnings on packaging to keep small parts away from children, the coffee is very hot or don't put a plastic bag over your head. Sounds like Lakeshore has a liability problem they need to discuss with their lawyers. If they tow someones car and there's no reason stating your car will be towed if X, they'll be getting some lawsuits in small claims court and a judge will side with them because there's no verbage saying it's private property and all that jazz.
There actually are in the complex. But, we're working on something. I am aware most are not on this site, or any disc golf site. Just asking for help self-policing. If you see it, ask them nicely to go back and check in.
Or at least direct them to the plastic bags...
