The University of Central Florida has had it's own disc golf course for several years now. In light of it's recent increase popularity I felt it best to found a UCF Disc Golf club. This Club would both play and compete activily as well as raise awareness of disc golf and the UCF course among the student body here at UCF.
Immediate priorities in the club is to raise awareness of both the club and the disc golf at UCF, as well as to begin pressuring the UCF administration to either fulfill their intial promise to allow us to convert the course to a "Florida grassland" instead of the sea of palm, or relocate the course to a different location on campus. (Marshal, UCF's course pro mentioned previously attempting to request to move the course to the West side of campus, however; the request was rejected at that time)
So lets Armor Up, and rip out some discs. I look forward to seeing you at UCF's disc golf course. Bring your friends! (We do not have any events scheduled yet, however; soon (tm) we will start scheduling weekend events for those interested.
