Holy cow those skeeters are ruthless!! We will definitely not return to Pioneer until this fall sometime. Players lathered up with bug spray are apparently still a treat for the mosquitoes at Pioneer Park! Hole 2 proved tough for some strange reason this evening, rendering many fewer birdies than normal. The rest of the course, not so much. This marks one of the few, if not only time, that all players shot under par. Good job guys. With the lack of the Pioneer breeze, we all found the course to be just that. A four way tie for third is the largest traffic jam at the top of the leaderboard yet. Kudos to Mark Frazier, who despite several early poor throws, hung in there for one of his best rounds @ the Pioneer course. Deione found the top of a spruce tree on hole 4, as Chris nearly did on #5. Soccer practice and the setting sun got in the way a little bit as the evening closed with Chris earning number one with a personal best 13 down. It wasn't without a little luck, as a few shots seemed to roll their way to a drop in. UNC next week, watch out for the construction fences!!
