The conditions were less than ideal today as the players made their case for #1 at the UNC campus course. The snow was just thick enough to keep everyone guessing their skips and skids as the sun bounced mercilessly off the thin layer. Out of nowhere, a main burst and sent a mist covering the group, as if it were not cold enough.
Still no aces to show for the week!! When will the club see another feat of greatness during a league round?
Foose was pushing for the lead when he mis-judged the wind on 9, went O.B. and recorded his first 7 @ the UNC course, sending him into a battle with Eric and Eli for 2nd place. Just then Chris turned up the heat with a superb putt for bird on 9 and a tee shot that landed under the basket on #1. Nacho had an apparent out of body experience and scored a 12 on #1! Eric learned the hard way that scoobies and ice don't mix with a putt that slid WAY past the pin. Eli hung around all day waiting for his share of third place.
In the end it was Chris who turned in another -9 to finish on top.
