Ok, I have delayed this response, so I could make sure the rest of my calculations were in line and that all the little fires were put out.

I first would like to thank all those Golfers who, either supported us or at least were willing to give us the benefit of doubt. Disc Golf is a community and it is too bad that there were, too many that, instead of asking if there was a mistake, jumped to the conclusion that, “someone was trying to rip them off”

I am a new TD and have only run 3 tournaments. This is the first, in which I tried to make up the payouts. I was not as familiar with the PDGA spreadsheet, as I apparently should have been. We lowered the entry fees for this years No Foolin, and did not realize what that would do to the payouts. We are all sorry for that. We were trying to make it easier to play in these harder economic times. When I initially ran the spreadsheet the payouts were not good, so I went back and added cash to make them better. I unfortunately missed the AM1 division when going back and adding cash to the divisions. I just looked at the PDGA lead page and saw a payout percentage, over 200% and thought I was ok. I did not realize that was an average.

So I would like to apologize to the AM1 division and to all the players for not being more prepared. I hope to do better in the future. I have gone over the payouts for the AM1 division, and all the other divisions, and updated them for the added cash we should have paid, these are as follows;

Joe Gabris $50.00 $75.00
Jimmy Bates $45.00 $60.00
Dave Milewski $30.00 $45.00
Gary costa $30.00 $45.00
Chris Brown $20.00 $35.00
Trevor Thorp $15.00 $25.00
Travis Prueter $15.00 $25.00
Jared Frost $10.00 $20.00
John Mcaskin $10.00 $20.00

First column=actual payouts. Second column=revised payouts.

I plan on sending each of the winners, who got shorted, a gift card for the difference. That way they do not have to come all the way up to collect, or get sent a disc they might not want. Again I am sorry for the mix up and hope, in the future that if someone else makes this mistake, you will give them the benefit of the doubt, and ask if the payouts are correct before assuming the worst.
I would like to again thank everyone who came to this event and I hope that this will not take away all the fun that was had by others while participating.
