I F'in love TALOALI!!!! There is really no other course like it I have seen to this point. I thought about this a ton last night because the thought of not being able to freely access the course when its open scares me, so I wanted to chime in on a few thoughts. 1st: Rooster makes a VERY important point about how financially invested the club truly can be in Taloali simply because there is no guarantee that the members who help raise that ca$h (through membership or what have you) will be able to reap the benifits of there contribution in the future. Sad but it has to be considered. 2nd: The "DONATION" box, as everyone is referring to it even in this forum is clearly NOT a "DONATION" from the sounds of it (which I have to say is new to me) and should be stated as such. A GIFT made by an individual or an organization to a nonprofit organization, charity or private foundation is what a donation truly is. I'll use myself for an example here: I haven't put $ in the box at Taloali for at least three visits there BUT I did put $10 in right before these trips. Should I feel guilty about not payin over the weekend?! I don't. Not even a little. Beast stated that "Chris W. said in the players meeting that "ALL" players are to put in to the donation box." Had I heard this at the event I would have said something about it then but I did not. SOOOOO, if Taloali is a "PAY TO PLAY" course then Snap or Taloali Staff need to make that very clear and evident to all that visit their beautiful course. nuf said.
If ya happened to read this thread and have yet to play Taloali then you need to shut your computer off right now, hop in the car, and set the GPS because this course is something special! (and ya better put some $ in the box! lol. kidding.) In all seriousness, it's a gem of a course that we are lucky to have access to and when T-pads go in it will be absolutely EPIC!!!
