Thanks for the input Jon, and for coming out and playing doubles today. We talked a little last week about doing 2 seperate days (one for doubles and one for either a bag-tag league or a points league of some kind). As of right now I am having a hard time telling what I'll be able to commit to but I'm sure that we will be able to decide on a format in the near future and as long as someone can collect scores, the league should be very easy to run (even if I can't make it).
For hole #4, I would be willing to put in the work with a little instruction to see if that would work out if you think it's worth it. The only thing about it that concerns me is that mulch floats (I think it all does anyway?) and on a lot of courses that I have played where they use mulch, it tends to become disturbed by heavy rains too easily or wash away. I have seen some wooden elevated pads that work pretty well and might be easy to put together if we could scrape up the funds for it. Something like this one http://www.dgcoursereview.com/view_image.php?id=4459&p=0ea5dffb (hopefully that link works). Sorry, that was the best pic I could find really quickly. What do you think?
