I updated Myrtle Ridge to the 18 hole layout on here and posted league info (Tuesdays at 5:30)... I have been out there almost every day removing rubble/debris from the fairways. I have pulled most of the roots from the teepads and removed loose rocks as well. Should be able to get them level and re-compacted as soon as I can find something to get the larger roots up with but they are looking MUCH better lately. Piles of discarded limbs and trees really need a better place as most of them are in hazardous areas or in some cases, right on the fairway. If anyone has a solution for better drainage on the teepad of #4, I would be happy to put in the work to get it done... or could we just push it forward? The tee signs are in a less than desireable location (front right of the teepad), does anyone agree that these should be pushed out of the way for those of us who throw primarily backhand?
This could be a really great course with just a little bit of cleaning up and better presentation. I know that the Bobcat Club is working on scheduling a time to put in the rest of the sleeves for the alternate placements on some holes but if anyone is willing to come out and put in a little work on the piles of debris or removng the thorned "booby traps" that seem to be everywhere, contact me with a good date/time and I will make it a priority to be there. If you go out there on your own, remember not to disturb ANY of the permanent obstacles.
