I don’t care for playing for tags at tournaments when all players don’t play the same tee pads or baskets. Open’s play reds, Am’s play yellows etc. as a matter of fact I don’t like playing for tags at tournaments at all. That’s just my preference. I will do it though if it is decided before the tournament starts. Don’t come to me after the tournament and ask for my tag, I will not give it to you no matter what tag I have. It is my opinion, and several others, that all tag rounds must be declared by all before the round, or rounds start.
On the other matter of who can buy a membership / tag. If someone from Japan wants to buy a membership / tag and never comes back to Utah again, they may do so. If someone wants that tag then they need to go to Japan and take it from them. This is a little extreme but you get the idea. Also if someone that has never played a round of Golf and never will play a round may buy one too. They may just want to be a member of a good club. It will all come out fresh the next year. Again just my opinion. I’m sure everyone has one.
