Dubs Finale

Here's the last bit of info you'll need to know for the Wednesday Night Dubs finale: Starting with there was some confusion as to whether or not all the ladies would be invited back regardless of if they qualified. Here's the last bit of info you'll need to know for the Wednesday Night Dubs finale:

Starting with there was some confusion as to whether or not all the ladies would be invited back regardless of if they qualified. When Mindy asked "What about the ladies" I answered as if all the ladies were invited but meant yes, ladies could/would qualify after adding the bonus points. I knew Mindy would make it and Shay snuck in with a 90. So, sorry for the confusion ladies.

The remaining 3 spots will be divvied out like this: We're gonna do it lottery style. For example: Danny Trubiano came out to 7 WND's and received 30 points. He can purchase up to 7 tickets at $1 each. Pat Zajac came out to 13 (1 less than the minimum) and received 88 points. Pat can purchase up to 13 tickets. This is open to anyone who played in a Dubs this season. First 3 names drawn are in. Your luck could start here. Gotta play to win! Please play responsibly. Look at your stats to see how many tickets you can get then send me a message if you're interested and with how many tickets you'd like. We'll do this IOU style. To be fair, this is the payout for this Wednesday (team); 1st: $120, 2nd $100, 3rd $80, 4th $60, 5th $40, and the final 5 teams get their money back.

Volunteer needed

Hey everyone! I'm not gonna be able to get Dubs up and running this Wednesday as I've got another commitment from 6:00-7:15. I'll be there in time to payout the appropriate teams though. I'm just looking for someone to get the show started. Please let me know if you're interested in helping make Dubs happen. Thanks!

4th of July Dubs

Just a friendly reminder that WND will take place at noon instead of canceling it. Hope to see you there if you can make it. Have a happy and safe 4th of July! And remember, light the fireworks/crackers with your non-throwing hand (pro tip).

Solstice Dubs Tourney

Just a friendly reminder that Dubs at Kincaid park scheduled for 6:20 has been cancelled to accommodate the Hilltop Solstice Dubs Tourney.

Where: Not Kincaid
When: Registration at 6:00 pm. 6:30 tee time
Cost: $10 per person
Format: 1 round of Random Draw Doubles. However, all are welcome (and encouraged) to stay for a second round
Misc: All participants will receive 10 points regardless of place finished
Sunset is at 11:42 pm

League Entry Fees

Thanks to those of you who took a minute of your time to give your two cents regarding how much you would be willing to pay for leagues. The entry fee for both weekly leagues will be:

$7 for members of the Alaska Disc Golf Association
$10 for non-members

Oops, we did it again... 37 came out to play in what is officially the largest league EVER for the ADGA. Thank you all for your support! Also, I failed to mention at Dubs yesterday (5-30) that next Wednesday will be our 1st of 3 or 4 Winner Takes All league. So that there are no questions next week in regards to the payout, this is how WTA Dubs will work: We'll use yesterday's league as the example. 37 people come out to play. We'll use yesterday's league as the example. 37 people come out to play. That's enough to payout 4 teams. 1st got $44, 2nd got $33, 3rd got $22 and 4th got $11 per team. At a WTA event the payout would be: 4th, 3rd and 2nd would all get $10 per team (AKA your money back). The winning team would get the difference. In this case, $81 dollars to be split in two. $40 per person is a good day at the office if you ask me. Hope to see you all there next week. Same time, same place. Will we see 40?

NEW RECORD!!!

On behalf of the Alaska Disc Golf Association, I'd like to thank everyone that came out for the Unofficial WND season opener. How better to start the Dubs season than to break the attendance record. The previous record was 26 and Dave Feldberg was in town that week. No Feldberg here. Not that I didn't see it coming, I just figured it would be later in the season and DEFINITELY not on a cold, windy ass day like it was! If you haven't noticed, everyone in attendance was given 10 points just for showing up. Records are meant to be broken. Let's do it again!
