I like winning and I do try to. I dont believe putting leagues under any format should over the top competitive tho. I say leave it as is and lets have a good time. Last week I shot 42% not sure this past mondays yet but hope I did better. I dont ever want to ride coat tails. Im there first to have fun, second to pratice and get better, 3rd to pick up on tips 4th to meet some cool people. Thats all..

This all comes down no one wants to get partnered up with someone in the C pool. If we do A/B/C then I will never get a chance to get partnered up with Mango, Adkins, Redmond, or anyone else in the B pool. I will be partnered up with the same %25 every week. That would be like going to a disc golf league with 20 people and I have to be partners with one of the same 5 people every time I go.

At least with A/B there is a greater chance I can play with someone different. As far as having a vote, ... more

You are sorry Kevin. The "discussion" of format will always lead to arguing. Its alot like talking politics. I believe random draw is the answer, alot of people agree with my viewpoint but alot don't. I cant change your mind and you can't change mine. Because random draw isn't even an option it makes people that share my beliefs incensed. You have to pay your dues. A "c pooler" loses $5 enough times it might give them incentive to get better by practicing. Why ... more

Hey! I resent that. I offered my opinion. I'm in favor of spreading out the talent to allow as even a odds as we can. I just offered numbers and a fairly valid point to why the a/b or a/b/c formats are better than random draw. I guess, as long as its not a major headache...I'm in favor of bringing back the triple format. There. Is that better Mango?

And if you don't want your answer to be judged by Redmond send me a Pm instead....;)

This was not meant to start an argument. I just wanted here which of the two formats was preferred. I just wanted some opinions.

I should add an addendum: to Sophia and Crystal, I had a great time putting with you, I don't think I had my heart rate up that high before in league hoping your putts would fall as they hit every bit of metal. I enjoyed our games, even with my crappy putting. I'd take you as partners again anytime. Easily some of the most fun I've had.

I'm sorry guys, but even as much as I'm ok with random draw events, I don't think you could really argue that it would provide a more fair set up. While the odds of the 2 lowest percentage putters being partnered on any given night are quite low, we are already seeing some pretty strong teams with the format we have in place. A/B/C would simply spread out that talent. And don't throw out there the "Well, make your putts then" argument. It's old. We all know tha ... more

Its not impossible, it just depends on who you ask...arguements on the newsfeed are futile so ill pm you mine

Not an option, sorry lets move on. It is impossible to argue that that would be more fair for all involved!

Option C random draw

mike "jewphish" cole    November 28, 2012 at 8:22am

I agree with you Ken. I think the A/B/C format would be more competitive.

A/B vs A/B/C
which do you prefer and why?

I prefer A/B/C because it provides the best chance for the lowest percentage putters to Have success and they get to learn from
Their A pool partners who hopefully give them pointers along the way. I also think that the people who cashed seemed to be a good mix of all pools.
