About this League

This is an awesome beginner friendly league located at a very easy course in Germantown. Show up each week to compete for prizes but more importantly, start learning the official rules of disc golf, gain experience in an organized event setting, and pick up tips and pointers from other experienced golfers.

The course is very short, very easy, and a great place to start learning how to play disc golf. If you already know how the basics then come here to practice your short game. Just remember - it's only 'too easy' of a course if you are birding every single hole, every single time.

League News

New Spassland League Starting Soon
Hey everyone,

Soon you'll see more information for the Spassland Spring league which will start on Thursday, April 29th.

Johnny Rumble will be the man in charge and Nolan will be his wing man. Like previous leagues, I'll still be stopping out on occasion so you can cash in your funny money vouchers.

Look for more info to be posted here and everywhere else. Please spread the word!
Week 7
I should open my own look into the future shop!
In the Rec. division: Adam was the only guy playing tonight. Adam needs to bring some friends so he can catch Brad in first. Brad leads by 2.5 points.
In the Adv. division: Well they did not disappoint again this week. Jim and Danny ended the round in a tie and after 3 sudden death holes and a CTP hole, Jim cam out the victor this week. Jim leads by 1.5 points over Danny. Stick a fork in this division, Jim looks like the head chef at this point.
In the Open division Rumble took care of business even with alternate tee pads for the second 9 holes. Eric turned it up another notch and moves into second place, half a point in front of Brett.
Nolan and I would like to thank you all for participating in these leagues. We are not planning anything for a fall league. Terry will be there on Thurs. evening to finish up and hand out trophies.
See you all on the links,
Johnny “Rumble” Pecunia
Week 6
2 weeks left and the dust is already settling. The weather couldn’t have been any more perfect and the slight breeze that was there before the round had all about disappeared by the time we started the round.
In the Rec. division Adam shot a neg. 4 for the win but Brad still holds first place firmly in his grasp. Adam is 4.5 points behind and Pat is in third 8.5 behind Adam. Tammy’s going to have to step it up to take over third if Pat is done for the season.
In the Adv. division we had a swap at the top tonight. Jim pulls out the hammer and knocks Danny down to second. Danny trails 1.5 points behind with 2 weeks to go. Luca had a great round shooting minus 4 to take second…and pressing the “zippy the lippy Danny” button. Matt could snag third from Luca but has to claw out of the cellar if he wants it(you gotta want it). Don’t look back to soon Luca, Matt wants a piece of the top 3 pie.
In the Open division Rumble has got the group in his own special grip…it’s a mix of the Argentine Leg Suicida with the Schoolboy Elbow Kick and finished off with the Slingshot Throat Fist(pretty scary huh!). Brett got a case of the yips in his round and Eric put together a solid round of neg. 11 to finish second tonight. Nolan kept up with Rumble for a bit and then he stopped... 2 points separate the top 3 in the Open group. I’m thinking Rumble won’t crumble but Eric looks like he wants second for himself.
Terry stopped by after the round(I think he’s scared of Rumble), to vend and have the players turn in their vouchers that they have won during the league. Make sure to use all your vouchers by the end of the league. Remember we are going to use alternate tee placements for the second nine holes next week.
That’s all I got for now…see you all next week.

I will bring discs out on Thursday + additional news...
Everyone is welcome to the Germantown Youth Futures 4th Annual Disc Golf Extravaganza. It is very low key, has a $3 entry and with that you'll receive a custom disc and a coupon for a snack onsite. If there are any proceeds (which is unlikely) they all benefit the non-profit group, The Germantown Youth Futures. Games and prizes will be awarded.

Check in starts at 4:30 and the latest you can tee off is 6PM. I hope to see ALL of you there!

PS - Look for another 'Super Sunday' event to take place on Sunday, August 23rd (location is TBD) and then some form of Ace Race in September.
Week 5
We have some very tight point races coming out after the round on week 5.
Tammy had three deuces and she shot her personal best round. Brad had his way with the course this week… (I think he’s figuring out the course frailties). Danny canned a 30 footer to break a tie against the new guy Matt. And RumbleMan is visioning the brass ring in hand. Let’s see how it played out this week.
In the Rec. division: Brad had his personal best round of the season Thurs. night, Adam had a miss this week and the new guy Ben kind of kept it close by keeping within 4 strokes of Brad. Looks like Brad is going to lead this one to the checker flag. Great round Brad, keep the great rounds coming. Remember, the advanced guys are always looking for new blood (fresh meat).
In the Adv. Division: What a tight round in this pack thurs. night. Everyone was within 3 strokes of each other and in the end Danny and new guy Matt finished in a tie. Danny would make a 30 foot putt to break the tie. Danny leads by 1 point over Jim, Matt needs to put some solid rounds together to catch 2nd.
In the Open division: uh oh…Rumble catches Brett in 1st, Eric is lagging a little bit but can catch the leaders with some stellar rounds to finish the season. Tom struggled with his round and Eric sneaks by for 3rd place.
That’s all I got, have a great weekend. State Fair is going now and remember, next Wed. is the Germantown Youth Futures Disc Golf Extravaganza. For more information contact me, Terry Miller or Germantown Village Hall.

Week 4
The afternoon started with some weird weather but we managed not to get poured on. Matt was feeling pretty good that the Trampe brothers were going to absent, Adam was excited to try out the new driving style. And I’m pretty sure that Brett, Eric and Tom want to take down Rumble in the worst way. Lets see how it played out..
In the advanced division, Jim takes the win over Matt and Trent(new guy) with a minus 3. The Trampe brothers are in a bit of a hole with Jim at the wheel. Matt had a to get some of that 1st place lovin’ but decided to bring out his “D” game. GO Jim GO!
In the recreational division, we have a bit of a race going on. Brad has had his way in this division until this week. Adam pulls out a huge win shooting a minus 5 to Brad’s par round. Brad leads by one point but Adam seems to be loading up for a knock out finish (I think). Pat needs to put together a couple of hot rounds to stay ahead of Jason. Jason needs to get a couple of holes in one and a driving lesson. And Tammy deuced her last hole of the round on Thursday. Go Tammy Go!
In the open division, Brett comes out and shoots lights out, minus 12 but gets trumped with a minus 15 by Rumble (whoa!). Eric shoots minus 6 to keep Tom in check and half a point away. Brett leads by 1 point over Rumble and 2 points over Eric and Tom. I saw Nolan make a great putt on hole 3, but I hear that was Nolan’s lone highlight of the round. Ok Brett, Let’s get ready to….I think you know how this ends.
See you all Thursday.

Week 3
Let’s give it up to Jim Geisthardt for his first Hole In One!
This was Jim’s first Hole In One. His pay off…$111 bucks
Congratulations Jim!
Week 3 of league is done and here’s how it boils down…
In the Rec. division Brads got the over all lead, but Adam pulled out a win by shooting two strokes better than Adam. Pat and Jason have a chance to catch the leaders but they have to make there move soon. Brad leads with 14 points with Adam just two points behind.
In the Adv. Division Danny Trampe has a slight lead. The rest of the division is hot on his trail. The man of the evening Jim got his Ace and won the advanced division on Thurs. to put him two points over Luca and one behind Danny. After some lessons this week I think Matt is going to mark his territory. Watch your back Danny the hounds have been released.
And now the Open division, Brett and Eric have been taking the bull by the horn but you know what they say, “when you take the bull by the horn that’s what you get the...HORNS!”
Tom has the lead after week 3 over Brett, Nolan and Eric. All knotted up within 2 points of each other, but wait! Rumble’s back on the scene, I can smell the fear from the field…or is that Tom’s golf bag!!! Anyway, Rumble’s back 2points from Tom and its game on for the Open field. Johnny D’s got a few lessons in his hip pocket also, can he pull them out to make it in the top half...
Well that’s all I got for now, we’ll see you all on Thurs.
