Ah yes, and I played longs that day if I remember correctly... because there was no consensus before the round

joe, didn't you end up playing shorts too? leviathan is a bad comparison. 15/18 of red cawk's whites are 30' in front of the blacks. levi's are hundreds of feet, every hole.

Caw, caw....flying in with my two cents. Remember at State Finals when you guys let Vanessa play shorts at Levi?! we dusted all you Cawks by like 12 strokes. Caw, Caw, Caw! I say let Kira own you fools from the shorts. She's gonna be my u pick every time. Caw, Caw and away.....

yes i think the majority of players will be very upset if kira has the choice to play from the short tees. this is why she should always be required to play longs.

Kira, I'm trying get a dialogue going here so we can change how we run things to make it more fair for you and any other women who may show up. I also appreciate it that you come out every week and I want your efforts to be rewarded. I don't want swing the pendulum too far in the other direction though. Kensington allowed women and juniors to throw from short tees and I think it gave an unfair advantage due to the number of par 4 holes that turned into deuce holes. The only hole on Chuck D t ... more

I'm flattered that you all are worried about losing by 2.5 strokes to a girl, but I could just not show up and that would solve everything...

yes yes fortch makes sense. easy decision. having am ladies play all longs on that course is retarded.

I think having anyone shoot from the shorts on hole 1 is an unfair advantage. The fact that it is a rather easy 3 from there and the fact that the majority of teams get a 5 from the longs, makes that a 2 stroke difference, on average. Throw in a possible deuce from the shorts and you have a 2.5-3 stroke difference. That seems a bit unfair.

i vote that kira always plays longs.

I do not think that Hole 1 is an issue. Hole 1 is deuceable from the white tees, but it still isn't a given. I might deuce it 1 in 5 times. In order for it to be an "unfair" advantage, it would have to result in the co-ed team actually cashing. Aaron Birdsall and I still got a 4 on hole 1. Furthermore, if you check the leaderboards, I am the only female that has shown up for the league this fall. If I were dominating, I could see it being an issue, but the fact is that I continue to donate my money every week to come play with you guys...

We want to encourage women to come out and play league. We don't want them to feel at an unfair disadvantage yet we also don't want to give them an unfair advantage over the field. The question at hand is: Should ladies play from the white tees when everyone else plays the black tees on the Chuck D course? This would give a big advantage on hole one. This is a hole that averages around 3 and is deucable from the short tees and averages around 5 from the long tee in singles rounds. In ... more

We will be at Indy Lake this Saturday. I love Lakeshore and it would be sweet to move it there, however for our regulars that don't always check the web I would like to have at least a week in advance to get the word out..

The option to move to Lakeshore this Saturday is on the table. Come play the 10,600+ foot 18 hole Gold layout. Win one of two- 50$ Throw Shop gift certificates. If you move the league there this Saturday the doubles rounds will count for a shot at those.
