This Doubles Singles tournament will be relaxed. Choose your own group regardless of division. I'm thinking all divisions will play the same layout to maximize points. Thinking about a 20 hole layout incorporating both the picnic course and the chuck D.

LOCAL 101 SATURDAY DOUBLES - OCTOBER 24TH

playing chuck d this week.

posse up around noon. see you on the first tee unless the weather sucks. if the weather sucks we'll get started at the gamble pavilion.

we'll determine teams based on turnout. we'll determine groups and starting hole strategy prior to determining teams.

$5 per player plus optional $2 ace pool... ace pool at $208.

I don't care all that much, but I have seen several distateful episodes at different doubles leagues of people that couldn't find a group that wanted to play with them, or partners both wanting to play with different foursomes. Assigning groups helps move things along, and makes the doubles more inviting to new players.

I would like to propose a slight modification to the operation procedures. I would like to propose that upon receiving his/her random draw partner, a player shall be allowed to select his/her "card-mates". I come out to Dubs more for the camaraderie than for the competition. I don't get to see some of my homeboys very often, so it would be nice to get to play with them. Nothing against my card last week, they were all super cool dudes, I was just a little bummed that I couldn't play with one of my DSN dudes, you dig?
