For those who are not playing the tournament on Saturday, doubles this week at Independence is on! Joe Arnet will be taking the money and determining the teams. Double points is a very good possibility.

Lost disc at the Chuck D course at Indy Lake.

Yesterday (12/19/09) I left a pink Z Flash (with my name on it) on hole #18. If anyone picked it up I am offering a generous reward for its return. Thanks. 248-505-3568

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I think for now we will go with AM Women shoot from the whites when we play the Chuck D. Pro Women shoot from the longs if we are playing longs. We'll see how it goes and adjust if needed.

Here are the facts we had from the summer session.
15 women attended
56 total rounds
9 of those rounds cashed out of 132 possible payouts.
So a 14.7% payout average for the season. Which is very good.
No Junior (Andrew and Cody both play like everyone else) cashed.
Partners included: Al Shack, Mark Ellis, KT, Mike Henery............

The way we do it at Kensington is:
AM women shoot from the short tees and draw as an AM.
PRO women and AM1 women shoot from the longs and draw as an AM.
All Juniors (except Andrew) shoot from the shorts and draw as an AM.
There were 4 occasions where women cashed this year. Its the luck of the draw the same as it is with men. How many times has Mark E gotten an AM4 player or woman and won, or gotten an AM2 partner and not cashed. It is all part of the great cycle of league play. Jim sai ... more

First of all, you can't be totally fair with pro/am doubles. Let's face it -- on the pro side, there is a select group of people that usually cash, another group that occasionally cashes, and some that rarely/never cash. The lower third of the Pros and upper third of the Ams is often interchangeable and when a top pro pulls a top am, mark them down for the win. Perhaps ratings should be used. Anyone at 850 (or whatever) and below plays whites from all tees -- then there is no arguing, the numbers decide it.

Ah yes, and I played longs that day if I remember correctly... because there was no consensus before the round
