I knew what was up, I always did, Calvin just didnt have the money at the start of the league and thats very apparent, I have never said it was about the money for me, it's about the principle that the money that goes in, stays there. and I always pay all in, don't twist things around

I ran a league in Maryland before I moved here and oretty much the same thing happened. We had about 12 regulars who showed up every week all summer long with no ace hit. At the start of the next season the ace pot was over 1300 bucks, once word got out people from all over were showing up for their chance at the ace pot. Many regulars from the year before werevpissed cayse they knew someone who never plays our league were gonna show up and pay 1 dollar and take all the money. I didn't want to put a cap on the ace pot cause we all agreed at the start of the league the ace pot would pay out 100%. So hat I did was make it a progressive ace pot. You pay 1 dollar you get 100 if you hit an ace. If you pay 5 dollars you win 500 for an ace. If you want the whole 1300 bucks you have to pay 13 bucks . Let me tell ya most people were paying in the max amount or at least 10 bucks. The ace pot skyrocketed every week sometimes almost 500 bucks a week. Pretty soon people would have to pay 50 bucks to win the whole ace pot. Obviously no one was willing to put up 50 bucks every week but most people still put in 10 or 20 bucks. So the pot grew and grew. I didn't want to carry that type of cash around so everyone was told if you hit the ace pot your gonna have to follow me home to collect your prize. Or I would bring it to them next week. Eventually we put all the baskets in a position until a few aces got hit. Which still took a few months. I will never forget the day I got to pay my buddy 2000 bucks for a ace. He was the only one from the first group of 12 regulars the year before who hit an ace. Eventually we finally got down to under 500. This actually helped grow our league. When the ace pot was in the thousands we usually had at least 50 people show up. After a few years of the progressive ace pot we now had 40 regulars every week not just 12. I'm not saying Wagner should do this I'm fine with how Wagner is handling their ace pot they let everyone know the deal before they pay in.

Yeah it's kinda sad to see someone who put 8 bucks into a thousand dollar ace pot, feel like the are entitled to make decisions on the ace pot. I can see David being so mad if he actually hit the ace, but he didn't josh did. And grim what I can tell Joshua spoke for himself he doesn't need an elected spokesperson.

What I do know is that there are countless golfers who want to play on doubles leagues, but very very few of them that want to step up and run a doubles league. It's guys like you who make it more difficult on said person running the league. Which in turn makes them not to want to run a league anymore. If you don't like this league then run your own or just don't play that particular league. You don't have to try and sabotage it. I'm am rehabing a knee injury and would like to make my triumphant return to Tuesday's at Wagner once I'm ready. That is all
