Say 10 teams show up, the winning team will get 9 points for beating out the other nine teams, and 1 for coming out. So first place will receive 10 points. Second place will receive 9 points, third 8 points, etc etc. Ties that are not broken all receive the same amount of points. That is determined at what the highest number ... more

Ties that are not broken all receive the same amount of points. That is determined at what the highest number of points award for a team in that place would be. Thus, using the same scenario as above, a three way tie for 5th place (out of 10 teams), each 5th place team would receive 6 points.
Make sense? Any questions? Any objections?
