In the absence of written comment, the method of scoring, as stated and dated June 14, 2011 (below), shall stand as the method to be used for league (wtf cares) scoring. This has been discussed on the course and will be implemented thusly!

By the time our round Wednesday June 15 plays out we will have played a maximum of 13 rounds both doubles and singles.

We should take all of the players who have played at least half of those rounds which will be 7 rounds (rounded up) and use their rounds played to calculate an average number of rounds played by all of those players. Going forward from there, if you have played 10 rounds, you can only imporve if you knock out one of the lowest scrores of your moving ten on any given new round. Those with less rounds than 10 can only improve their scores as they play more rounds that will add to their score base. This process should alllow for some more closeness to come to the groups as the lower rounded players get the opportunity to pick up points on the highel levels who will have a more difficult time improving their scores which already comprise ten rounds.

Come on! Someone speak! This will be fun to watch and really tighten up the battle at the top while the rest of the group slides in for the fight! I predict a sleeper will come from the lower tier to make a play for at least third place in the final scoring!

The current Overall League scoring system we are using accounts for all rounds played by all players. Most leagues use a number of rounds (E.g. the best 10 rounds) in order to compensate for missed rounds by players with scheduling conflicts.

Our leage has such a variation in participation (from one to twelve rounds so far) that it might be better for us to use a number of rounds that is equal to the average number of rounds played by all of the players in our league (currently 7). This m ... more

This method would allow any player who makes at least the average number of rounds to post enough rounds to have them tallied in the Overall total.

The web site will account for everyones best "X" league point scores which will change as the season goes on.
