Bag Tag Saturday

This Saturday at Noon, we will be playing a round for tags instead of our usual doubles. We hope to have prizes and CTP's. We'll play Shlongs (Shorts and Longs) and for $10, we'll give you your 2013 Tag according to your place at the finish. So, if you win the round, you get #1! Come on out, it should be fun.

To add to this: You don't need to be an existing Bag Tag holder to play. This is open to everyone. Those wanting a 2013 Bag Tag can pay $10 following the round and get their tag. See you tomorrow at Noon!

Today at CMU

Just a reminder that our doubles league will be at the CMU course today due to Deerfield being overrun by people in civil war clothes shooting guns and cannons! See you at noon.

Saturday 5/1

Our Mayday Doubles will be played from the Short Tees tomorrow in order for Jordan, Craig and whoever else wants to help, finish in time for the 2pm Disc Golf Clinic being held at Deerfield. See you at Noon!

FUNDRAISER DISCS

I am currently have a bunch of discs up for sale to benefit the Mt. Pleasant club, all profits go directly to the club so if you want one of these discs just get in touch with me. I have ESP Nukes, Z and ESP Buzzzes all with the throw no evil stamps. I also have some Mt. Pleasant Disc golf minis. Check my page for pictures of the discs.

Don't forget about the Ace Race at the CMU course Saturday at 10am. Hopefully, we'll all have enough energy left to shoot a round of doubles (probably at CMU although it might start getting busy with CMU Football traffic).

CMU vs MSU Saturday

If anyone would like to watch the big game tomorrow at the Clingan's, you're welcome to join us. There may be some putting at 1/2 time or maybe Deerfield afterwards. Our house is at 6937 E Valley Rd, 1.5 miles north of the Casino on Leaton, turn left on East Valley, second house on right. Game on at noon, so Craig and whoever else shows up won't be at doubles.

April 18th Update

Well, Jason H filled the basket on hole 8 today and won $141 dollars (Ace Pool was $122 plus 19 from today). Congrats Jason on your Ace and thanks for giving $20 back to the Deerfield Park Fund, which now has $76 in it. We still need a few more hole sponsors, so keep up the fund raising!

Updated Fees

Starting next Saturday (3/21), the league fee will be $6 with an additional $1 for the Ace pool. Of the $6 entry fee, one dollar will go towards the new Deerfield Park Disc Golf Course. Thank you all for your continued support of Disc Golf in and around Mt Pleasant.

Sunny Day

What a great day for Disc Golf today was! Josh and Ben threw a nice 44. Corey and I were neck and neck with them until our bogey on 17 and wound up 4th with a 46. Team Thom & Jason tied with Cali Jeff shooting a 45 but Jeff won the CTP to take second. With CMU just coming back from Spring Break, I look forward to even bigger turnouts starting next Saturday.

Cats and Dogs (and Birdies)

I was really thinking that I would drive into town, see Nacho and Jason who I knew were coming because of recent texting, decide that it was raining WAY too hard, then drive home. But nooo, Josh, Jordan and Ben decided to show too so we had 6 and that's way too many players to not golf, so we golfed. It rained HARD for the first 9 holes, then it was just cold and wet for the last 9. Jason and Josh had a great game, canning some really nice putts. Ben and Jordan put in a nice last minute comeback ... more

Snowy Dubs

It should be "fun" playing today as the Winter Storm approaches. We have some visitors from the West so let's all show up and have a great time. Don't forget the MIDGC #6 tourney here tomorrow starting at 9am. Bring your partner dubs in the am followed by a round of singles after lunch. It's just fun trying to figure out Leonard's complex scoring. In fact, I think I just scored 2.4 points for posting this! ;-)
