About this League
Doubles league - 13 all-time players - 0 active players
$4.00 one-time player fee for this league
Everyone's welcome to play in this weekly doubles for only $4. 100% goes into the payouts depending on the number of players.
We'll be playing twice around the course, 1st 9 being the original tees & the back 9 being the alternate tees. There will be one A pool for Open/Advanced and experienced players & B pool for Intermediate/Recreational and novice players paired up with each other.
If someone hits an ace that day, it will be based on a honor system & everyone should give $1 or 2 to that player.

June 21's Doubles
All 3 of us tied after 18 baskets! We had to play safari to decide the 1st & 2nd places this week. After the first safari basket, Jonah/Tony and Travis & I got a 3 & kept playing 2 more baskets until Jonah parked it from 9's tee to 5's basket & my disc was about 40ft short. My putt nearly went in. It hit the chains, but just left of the basket, then bounced out.
Mountwood Doubles update!
The New Mountwood Monster course rocks! It's much better than the original Monster in my opinion & plays almost entirely in the woods now. There's going to be a few changes to the weekly doubles now. It'll remain at $5 per player, but $1 from each player goes to the club for the upkeep of the course and future additions. Anyone who's a MOVDGC member & hits an ace, they'll be rewarded handsomely. Non-members gets $25. Also we'll be having CTP throw-offs for a prize weekly, as long as there's at least 8 players.
As some of you already know, I'll be moving away to Frederick, MD in a couple of days. Someone will need to step up and take my place. I would really like to see this weekly doubles continue & everyone should come out and support the club & the Mountwood Park.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, just let me know. Post it in here, e-mail me, look me up on Facebook or whatever. Adam Sams, Scott VanMeter, Dave Wiltsey, Brad Goff and Randy Ferrell should be able to take in your feedback as well if you happen to run into one of them at the course.
