I'll run home and get my monster heavy basket. I probably won't make it back to Fairmont till about 4:45pm.

FYI... I have just finished the 3 busiest weeks of the year in my job, and have not done the best job of communicating league information or recording scores online. Things should be much more consistent from here on out. Thanks to all who have stepped up to help during the past several weeks, especially Mark Kewley for running league in my absence!

Kirk can you bring your basket?

Water under the bridge... but I thought we had made it clear during the last month of league that we would move to Fairmont while baskets were moved for Stampede and try different layouts for the Fairmont Back 9...

Anyway... we will make due tonight with whatever we have. In the past, baskets were pulled at Tuttle for 3-4 weeks for Stampede, so there is a good chance we will be at Fairmont again next week as well. I did not check today, but I would be shocked if they were back in the ground already!

I'm sorry to report that I can't attend this evening. I did not know that there was a plan to set up a temp course again this week... I wish I could see it... maybe later.

Anyhoo, regarding the design of the next nine, here are my thoughts.

There seems to be 5 to 7 DFOK members who have expressed interest in helping put their time, money & sweat equity into designing & building the next nine at Fairmont Park. Plus, by now I doubt there are many locals that haven't he ... more

Hey Everyone!

Tonight is Doubles night!

Once again we will be playing at Fairmont on a temporary back 9.

Once again we will need at least 9 portable baskets. I can provide 3 of them, so we need at least 6 more.

I will mark a new temporary 9 this afternoon. It will incorporate some of the holes from the Austin/Clouse set up from last week, but will have a few new twists.

Remember, the idea is to try some different layouts before we settle on a permanent back 9 layout that we wi ... more

What's the plan? Are baskets back at Tuttle or are we having doubles at Fairmont again?

I'm going to be in the parking lot by #2 with my basket at 4:15 if that works for everybody

It depends on the person.

I've heard from as early as 4pm & some people haven't said. So the last baskets may not show until our usual tee time (5:30 or later)...

What time are we meeting out there to place the baskets?

Rick Petrie    June 19, 2012 at 9:39pm

Yep, that is the plan. I am bringing signs 10 thru 18 for tonights temp. course. No flags needed.

I've also received permission to place these signs (to act as tee signs & baskets) in the park as design an actual proposed permanent new 9. That is what RL Co. is prepared to see... eventually...

I thought we were using Rick's signs?

Hey if anyone has extra marking flags they can bring this evening that would be great. I was able to mark 1 flag per tee pad and 1 per pin placement so if you have extra it would be helpful

Clouse & Cranston,
I can wait to see what you guys came up with. Hopefully it's got some new twists that nobody has thought of for that area.

And of course, sorry if I came across too jerky. I just want to make sure we keep the promises I've already had to make... I think Riley Co. is going to do us up right, as long as we do the same to them.
