League is Over

Thank you to everyone who came out this year! We'll start this league up again in January of 2015. Check DGS later in the year for updates.

Here are some stats from 2014's league:
- 28 Different players played throughout the season
- $615 dollars were paid out
- 4 players qualified for the added cash finals.
- The hot score was -17 shot by Travis Prueter and Zach Vaughn as well as Jeff Kuehle and Nick V.
- Only 2 aces were recorded - Zach Vaughn hole #15 and Jeff Kuehle hole ... more

3/30 - Last day of League

Hello,

It's hard to believe that we've reached the end of March, especially with the snow cover that we still have. This signals the end of the H'ville Winter Doubles League. Our last day is 3/30 and details can be found below:

We had 4 people qualify for the added cash finals - Zachary Vaughn, Zachary Grice, Jeff Kuehle, and Travis Prueter. We will be playing for $72 in added cash on top of normal league dues. Partners will be chosen at random among this group.

Hello,

It's hard to believe that we've reached the end of March, especially with the snow cover that we still have. This signals the end of the H'ville Winter Doubles League. Our last day is 3/30 and details can be found below:

We had 4 people qualify for the added cash finals - Zachary Vaughn, Zachary Grice, Jeff Kuehle, and Travis Prueter. We will be playing for $72 in added cash on top of normal league dues. Partners will be chosen at random among this group.

For those that aren't qualified, feel free to show up on 3/30 to play as normal. The fee for the week will be $5 and $1 for the ace pool (you no longer have to pay the "league fee"). If no aces are hit on 3/30, we will split the ace pool in two, adding half to the payout for qualified league members and half to the payout for non-qualified players.

Week #11

Week 11 Highlights:
- Jeff K and Nick V tied the league record with a -17
- It's the first week that grass was visible on the course
- Zach G and Brian F took a snowman 8 on hole #17, ouch!
- CTP winner was Jeff England on basket 9/13
- 3 new league participants - Craig, Brian, Jason

Week #9

Today was our biggest turnout yet! I'm pretty sure that the warmer temperatures had something to do with it.

More hole #17 drama: Jeff and Drew missed the mando off the tee, much to the disappointment of the gallery surrounding the green. Jeff steps up first for his team's re-tee 3rd shot and bangs it! It's the second time this year that he's made that shot from the tee. Unfortunately, this time it was for a 3 instead of a 1. It was a clutch shot as he needed it to secure the 1 stroke victory.

Week #8

Another epic week in Hudsonville disc golf:

Teams Thirsty Dog (aka courtesy violation) and Hole 1 Disasters were only one stroke behind Team Beard entering the infamous hole #17. Team Beard hit the mando and parked for a 2 while Thirsty Dog and Hole 1 Disasters both missed the mando on their first try. Not to be out done, Thirsty Dog missed the mando a second time to card a triple bogey 6 on the hole. Hole 1 Disasters saved face with a 4 on the hole but followed up with another 4 on #18. The Beard's powers proved relentless and prevailed once again.

Week 7

Zach and Travis partnered up to record a league record, -17 today despite bitter wind chills. Ace pool is at $10 and added cash for 3/30 stands at $35. Zach V and Jeff K qualified for 3/30 added cash today with 6 league rounds.

Super Sunday Continued!

It doesn't get much better than this at Hughes Park...in terms of Drama (other than Travis missing two 20 footers to win). Tied after hole 16. Mike and Zach miss the Mando on #17. Next up, Jeff aces the hole to secure the victory! They go on to deuce #18 for a 4 shot victory.

Week #2

Tough conditions yesterday though fun was had. Hughes was really showing its teeth as no team could crest the -14 mark. Added cash for 3/30 stands at $13.

First League Ace!

Congratulations to myself for posting the first ace! 2nd shot Cali ace on hole #15. Cashing in on a whopping $6! Ace pool has been reset to $0.00.
