Aviar Wins!!!
The second ever league event @ Oxbow was held today, bringing the course more good spirited competition it deserves. Mr. Foose showed us his form during warm-ups as he aces hole 5! That's the first ace from 3 Rivers and the first I've heard of at the new course. As things got underway, it was an immediate duel between Chris and Andy going stroke for stroke through the first seven holes. Bombs over Epple
Fifteen players including our first Female competitor of the year gathered @ Epple Park this evening. Mr. Thomas hid #2 behind some trees and a creek and some rocks where no one could find it! The challenge factor was raised with this pin and a deep location on #5 that would prove difficult once again. Unless you are Mike Oliveros and you crush one all the way to the bucket and smack it off the band for a sweet bird!! Nice job, Mike. Foose was driving 'em deep as well, parking the right placement on #5 along with a few other choice throws on #4 and #2. Chris buries one under a tree and takes a 4 on #2, then put it 9 feet away for the deuce on the next pass. As darkness settled in they reconvened under flashlight to find the top two tags unchanged. We battle again next week back @ the new Oxbow course, see you there!
