Next week D.O.R.C.s players may meet @ Cascades but I will be at Wortman park for RIVAL CLUBS. CCDG FLIGHT CREW could use all the help it can get..

I think I found a schedule system for D.O.R.C.s that would include all Salem area courses in a revolving cycle taking in to account that Taloali is closed for part of the year. The new D.O.R.C.s schedule is set into October of 2013, yet I'm willing to adjust upon request. (conflicting events, work parties, weather) will be considered when posting schedule changes.

Bush Pasture on Sunday! Neutral territory for Sunday am checkers. Maybe some new faces at D.O.R.C.s this week? Maybe some OLD ones too?
The "BEAST" Of The Woods May 13, 2012 at 1:20pm
Keizer Rapids tee-pads are a nice change. Only one bag of trash was removed from the course today by the D.O.R.C.s. I'm looking forward to next weeks Bush Pasture guided tour. Maybe Bush Pasture & the State Hospital could be put into the D.O.R.C.s course rotation?
The "BEAST" Of The Woods May 12, 2012 at 11:58pm
Keizer has 7 new tee-pads! I was there all day with Rooster and others placing tee-pads, I did not get a chance to Play all of them so I can't wait to play the rapids tomorrow:)

It will be "RIPT" D.O.R.C.s this Sunday! Corbin style (O.B. Rules)

awesome idea! retro that **** and give me a free lifetime membership!?
Bill Harpster April 18, 2012 at 3:31pm
What if you waive part of the membership for so many hours of service in any form of volunteerism it may be i.e work parties or trash out events attended and even possibly raise the membership price up to $15 for those who do not qualify for the discount and maybe that will help to get a better turnout for work parties and such maybe even for those who host a tournament could even qualify for the discount.
Doing this will give people a chance to show their dedication to CCDG.

if you want to promote course clean-up that's great. most golfers do pick up trash and have been doing so since the beginning of time. not even close to everyone attends work parties, and picking up trash is a part of a work party. i'd like to see a waive(or reduced price) of membership to people who either meet a certain work party attendance percentage for the year or donate a set number of hours to work parties per year. that would be a HUGE change to our current work party status. and to our course status. and to the amount of trash on the course.
The "BEAST" Of The Woods April 17, 2012 at 2:18am
The membership waiver is not to be a reward for D.O.R.C.s picking up trash, but a thanks to valued members who make a good example of proper etiquette to raise awareness to how a disc golfer should appreciate the course. I think it is the duty of CCDG hosts to promote proper etiquette at every opportunity and maybe we don't make enough examples of it to newbies.
Justin "ugh massa" Stinson April 16, 2012 at 12:05pm
Picking up trash is te duty of everyone who enjoys the parks. Disc golfer or not. Ccdg member or not. People shouldn't have to be rewarded to be courteous and respectful to OREGON. Everyone keep up the good work.
ROGUE RIDER April 16, 2012 at 11:54am
"free membership" this is a joke right ? i mean realy we have all picked up trash off the course but now if someone plays dorks and gets trash then they get a free membership? what about the people that run club events that acctualy benefit the club, or the workers at the work partys, i mean anybody could drum up a reason to get a free membership, i do work partys and pickup trash and dont do dorcs, for any reason other than just because its what i choose to do.

As the Director of the D.O.R.C.s league I'm always trying to find ways to serve the leagues players as well as serve CCDG. I know this league does not bring any "Club Take" to CCDG or ever will, but D.O.R.C.s has brought many players to the wonderful world of disc golf and thus to CCDG membership. Some of you first played D.O.R.C.s league, then moved on to other more competitive leagues and joined CCDG as a member. I suggest that as the TD for D.O.R.C.s I not only post scores but also keep a tally on how many empty bottles or cans are picked up by D.O.R.C.s players during the round in a Dollar amount that reflects the deposit value. Once a player reaches $10 in deposits picked up off CCDG area courses, CCDG will waive their next membership fee.

I missed playing with you D.O.R.C.s this morning. I'm still not ready to get out, recovering from bronchitis and have a high fever. If someone kept score, please post it and I will try to verify it.

If you like sleeping in on Sundays this is NOT for you. I'm a married man who gets out to disc golf about twice a week. For about 2 years now I have played disc golf at local courses EVERY sunday at sun-up RELIGIOUSLY. The game is on for Bag Tags unless too many pepole show up and we decide to play doubles. Most of the "Day Of Rest Crew"(D.O.R.C.s) needs to be at church by 10am so READY golf is how we play, so keep up the pace. If you don't have a sence of humor or can't handle heckling, STAY HOME! We are out for fun so bring a smile if you can get up early enough.
