up to 41% with only 930ish votes, we can flood this thing.
Jeremy- Hitman- Horton February 2, 2011 at 12:39pm
voted! 33% ball golf - 39% disc golf, get the vote's in !!
Scott White February 2, 2011 at 11:56am
The actual story is that the front 9 of the ball golf course would be for soccer and baseball and stuff, it's flat. The back 9 of the ball golf will be for disc golf as it's got elevation, big old growth trees, some woods, some open areas. It's basically perfect land in the heart of a disc golf friendly city. Location Location Location. Imaging a course like Flip but in the middle of Ann Arbor.

Yeah Baby - Nice cooperation - Disc Golf course just took the #1 place. I think it was about 200 vote in the last two hours. Way to rally the vote. Keep em coming and help make our presence and desires known. AWESOME!!!
Vote near the bottom of the article.
Phil "Puttimus Prime" Common February 2, 2011 at 11:51am
Possibility of a new disc golf course in the area? Let's get those votes in fellas. Nice post Ken. Looks like we're battling the ball golfers as the voting currently stands at 36%(ball golf) to 34%(disc golf). Whoever voted for soccer fields is a moron, there's like a billion of those.
Ken Mango February 2, 2011 at 9:45am
Please vote for disc golf at the bottom of this page.

CCR Monday Night Glow Dubs might have been eligible for double points due to temp last Monday. For that matter, you may want to check back as far as you can go... we do play at night, after all.

I agree Brad that this cause and the efforts should get out there and let everyone join in who can.
Gabe "Admiral" Dotson is the point man for this. I would arrange to get any donations to him. If I can help in any way let me know.
I like the article idea to help get the word out even further. I suspect a few messages from some players and they would be on the phone to Gabe to get the low down and get the word out. Great idea.

Maybe Pete could whip up a discgolfscene page around this topic to help facilitate...

Pretty cool what you guys are doing for the soldiers overseas.....where can we send disc donations? Has anyone reached out to the PDGA? They should put an article together about this for their website.

Gabe Thanks for sharing the feedback from Jason. It is awesome to hear that the initial delivery made it there and they appreciate getting a care package from the Mi Disc Golfers, and know we are thinking about them and appreciate the sacrifices they are making. It is awesome to hear that the initial delivery made it there and they appreciate getting a care package from the Mi Disc Golfers, and know we are thinking about them and appreciate the sacrifices they are making. Although they are not currently throwing those discs on the great courses we get to play any day of the week and often take for granted, it's still great that they get to keep in practice, or learn about the sport and escape for a few minutes from the pressure and constant treats and hard work, with a little Disc'n.
Way to make it a great Disc-mas for then and brighten up their holiday. Holidays during deployment are really different, usually pretty depressing because you don't have all the things that we have become conditioned to that tell us it's the holidays, a special time to spend with friends and family and just a little time to reflect on the past year, hard work, good and bad times and realize that you lived through it and that is worth celebrating and there is no better way than with friends and family, but they don't have any of that. Maybe a crazy decoration or two that really just remind them of all that they are missing back home. And although they may try to celebrate later it is not the same as being part of their normal community or family and all doing it at the same time. That simple box of discs helped a lot to brighten up their holiday and each day they put those discs in their hands and see the names of those who cared enough to give a disc or two and make it possible for these guys so far away, so remote, to realize they are not forgotten and these people cared about them.
We need to get a few pictures of the soldiers with the discs or putting.
Yeah Gabe - Ypsi Dubs will start another collection and will contribute $25 toward another pop-up basket. Based on the other message from them it sounds like putters and pop-up baskets are the best items for them currently.
Way to go Santa Gabe and everyone who helped and contributed to reaching out so far way to make a difference. Disc On!!!!
Michigan Disc Golfers Rock!!!!

Same with Ace's. League can post what ever points they want - MiCPS-W will use 50 points automatically. So Hit an Ace at Kensington and get the bucks and the points bonanza!!!!
Mike - Yes I am applying Double points for you right after I add the new experimental "White Mike" divide by 4 handicap - let me know when I should apply these. 314 -> 628 - > 157 ;-) All In favor of trying the new handicap system for White Mike.....
