DGLA: Michigan Cooperative Point Series - Summer 2012
Point Series
Have faith in Father Foz and the rest of innner cirle! He is a busy man....I am sure when he gets a chance he will post the basket raffle winner. Has the most integrity of any discer I know....Props to all that offer their time to make DGLA work!......also i will pay cash money for DGLA wizards that are unwanted from player memebers that aren't throwing theirs......
ps. I have some history with basket raffles and Foz......check indy lake for proof!
Thanks, Nate. Everybody loves prizes! Fo sho.
I wanted to go ahead and send a shot out to: Foz, Scott, Pete, and anyone else with hands on development of the DGLA. Thanks for the time put in, and creating a united Community of people who all share the same passion. I had a blast this summer - met some new people, played great courses, got a bit better at the game, and was able to somehow win some prizes. I am glad the DGLA promotes feedback from the players, but regardless of any potential "tweaking" that may come about, the bottom line has been achieved. Thanks again...Cheers.
When you say no further comment please be a man of your word Jay. Just let go dummy.
Dude you are the one who took everything way out of context.
Drama aside......
If anyone has the information about the Basket Raffle I would appreciate the response to the question I have been searching for some time now.
i understand your embarrassment. try to be more cooperative.
i think the rest of the co-op are the ones that should be upset that its even possible to win a prize averaging less than fourteen points per league round but thats probably why youre mad too.
Damn no need to start calling people pubic
Speak with me about cashing in remotely- I am willing to help you out. Don't worry about it.
out of both of us youre for sure the most worked up. i was just suggesting a solution for you to get the prize you were bitching about.
We appreciate all feedback and friendly discussion to help make the Point Series a really cool thing for a lot of people and a really cool thing for the disc golf community.
We aim to please. Hakuna matata.
yeah they should probably maybe have a cash equivalent but if not and you talked to someone instead of bemoaning your prize they would probably work something out. im just saying. maybe you could start a free shipping company.
maybe just sell your voucher to someone who lives at lakeshore and use the money to buy discs at the store you live within walking distance of. idk what they charge for shipping.
Foz: I've been looking through the posts you have been making and cannot find out who won the Basket Raffle :( Any help on locating this information would be nice.
In Hudson mills A3 singles league there are 60+ people but its split up into divisions. Shot a -9 on the monster couple weeks ago and got 10 points for it. Its not like we're down here banking on points.
Most definitely. We do have leaderboards for most leagues played and most rounds played, which are independent of skill but dependent on proximity to leagues.
I expect more leaderboards will be added in the future so there's a title that everyone can compete for.
It's surprising how many noobs get hooked by seeing their name on a leaderboard, comparing their results, and having their competition gene kick in. I'll dig into the Configuration and see if at least we can set up a few different leaderboards in effort to appeal to more variety of players.

A few asked about the DGLA Titan Pro Basket Raffle, as I posted we were trying to determine a large Disc Golf event to hold this raffle at or to do it at States. The list of ticket holders was also posted and is still online (I need to add four names that I'm aware of) http://www.discgolfleagueassociation.org/Point_Series/2012_micps_s_basket_Raffle.pdf
The list above with this update should complete the list - let me know if you have questions or concerns.

Note this list linked online has all the names and then each event and who bought what when.....
I will be gone for two weeks and may not be able to attend States this years so I am thinking we will draw the winner this Tuesday at Ypsi Dubs since people seem to be in a hurry to get in more practice ;-)
Ok I'll update the list with the last names and will post the winner after we pull the winning ticket this Tuesday Ypsi Dubs.
Talking about baskets - a basket was stolen from Vienna park about a month ago and now a basket has been stolen from the St Aubin's side yard just across from Vienna park. Please keep a look out for anyone with a New / Old basket. The St Aubin's basket is a Innova practice basket, yellow metal top, some rust and marks on the bottom stand from the mower. The St Aubin's help keep that course in good shape, run leagues for all to enjoy and are great ambassadors to the sport. I am deeply sadden to think that a Disc Golfer would do this. Keep an eye out for these baskets or any other basket that looks like it was pulled from a course.
