Larry Schuiteboer and Tim Weimer took it upon themselves to cut down 50 or so trees at Irving Park in Battle Creek. They also threatened club members who asked them to stop cutting trees. Please let these 2 scumbags know that cutting trees in your line is cowardly and unacceptable.

Kevin Baldwin Update. I spoke with Kevin Baldwin a few minutes ago and he asked me to pass on this message. He is home and doing well after a trip to the Emergency Room. He says thanks to everyone for their assistance and their concern. He looks forward to seeing you all again on the golf course.

I confirmed the actual scores are correct from what Tim sent. I assume looking at the scores that the course played was incorrect and changed it to the 24 hole layout. That should correct the over under par difference.

did you play 24 or 21 holes.

The scores for July 10 are incorrect Aaron Smith and I were 5 down I think and my nephew Taylor Dean was down as well.

I'm adding $50.00 cash for the two-person team points winners--starting with MIDGC #5 to be held at Grand Woods on Saturday, December 5th. Challenge your friends to join us at Grand Woods (registration 9 - 9:30) for the doubles round, followed by the singles round at Grand Ledge at approximately 2pm. Minimum cost to play and to compete for the $50 added cash is $15 for the day (this covers the 'team' entry fee, and both match play events). Maximum cost for the day is $30.
Come on out and play for your school, your club, or yourself.
Leonard
Last I knew Irving Park is a public course and not private. I'm pretty sure Larry and Tim didn't go out there thinking how can we get all these trees out of here a piss Chad off. It was probably better for the course. If you want to complain about some trees getting cleaned up then you probably shouldn't pay attention to ANY maintenance that takes place. Yeah it makes lines bigger now but they will grow right back. It's called maintenance for a reason. Thanks for letting us know who did the work so I can thank them for cleaning up the course.
