After a two week layoff to support both the DGLO and AM Nats, Sunday Leagues are set to start this Sunday. Ace pool is up to $750 (50% payout).

Thanks to everyone who foted on the ace pool/cali issue. The last vote was cast Sunday at AM Nats to break the 13-13 tie. Mark E- #2. Cali's second drive will not count towards ace pool. Mark and I talked for a half hour about the leagues and the vote. He put it best, "the ace pool is a tool to help promote the club and its league. Th ... more

I got a call from the park today. It appears that the casuals are trashing the freshly set tee pads. The park is looking for our assistance in watching over the next 6 pads which will be poured tomorrow. We are looking for volenteers to watch over the pads and keep people off of them. I cannot attend due to work, but Dave Curry will be heading up a group to watch the pads between 10am and possible up to 4pm depending on the humidity. I will donate a disc to anyone who will stay for a least ... more

"SUNDAY LEAGUES IS CANCELED

Sunday Leagues are canceled for the next 2 weeks.

Reasons:
Sunday is the DGLO and most paid club members are attending and many league players.

Next weekend is th e AM Nats and many members are playing, cadding or spotting and DGLO for the Pros.

I encourage everyone to attend both the DGLO and AM Nats to support two Huge Disc Golf Events in our local area. Also a Chains event will be held at Kensingtons Toboggon course, I am sure some people will show up for leagues not knowing it is cancelled. Please spread the word. Thanks."

John, I do appreciate your enthusism but the decision has been made. I try and run a top of the line league and put my reputation on the line each week. I did ask several members and players prior to this decision and gave them options. They agreed to cancelling leagues. I went to Kensington and asked players I saw and they agreed also. It was not a half ass decision. I struggled and felt bad doing so but felt it was best to do so. The ace pool will be there when we start back. Either an ... more

So if i get there around 11:40 and collect $5 plus a $2 ace pool; since you, dave and jeff are not there it would not be considered for ace pool if infact someone was lucky/skilled enough to get an ace, no go. I do indeed look forward to playing "The Toboggan" tomm. I usually just like to play in a two-some or three-some person single round group in about 2-3 hours in prep for next weekend, .., i think it would be sweet for the acepool to go to someone while playing the tunnel which w ... more

John, at this point, Dave, Jeff and I have decided to call it off. Since most of our club members will be at DGLO and many of it regular players, we will just start back up after AM Nats. Their is a Chains event at the Toboggan with Joe A this Sunday which sounds like alot of fun. One intresting point to note, when we start back up, the ace pool might go to someone on the new course. Thanks for stepping up. I will keep you in mind if this ever happens again.

I have no problem running leagues, i have not been able to play on a sunday in a while. And just to confirm our rule has always been that you need at least 10 people in leagues to play for the ace pool, i am positive that there will be atleast 10 people prob. closer to 30-40, Our normal am side which is much bigger than the pro side will mostly likely not be playing @ DGLO. Lots of the ams that come out look forward to sundays because they are not trying to devote a day towards disc golf, rath ... more
