For scoring, we might consider the following: at the end of the season just total each players top X scores. So if there are 16 weekends in a season, perhaps you take each players top 6 scores or something (for a tie you could take their next best scores until you determined a winner). So you wouldn't necessarily have to show up each time, but are definitely encouraged to come b/c you might beat one of your previous scores. Also I don't think there would ever be an incentive to not sho ...
