CDGA Bag Tag Challenge
The goal of Charlotte Disc Golf Association Bag Tag Challenge is to bring Mid-Michigan disc
golf community closer together through friendly competition.
Rules of the CDGA Bag Tag Challenge
a. Conduct yourself within the spirit of the competition.
b. Challenges need to be accepted in order for the series to work for everyone.
c. When you arrive at a tournament or for league play, you subject yourself to being
challenged by the first person that challenges you, even if you were looking for another

i. New tag issued, using the lowest tag number available at a replacemnet
cost of $5 once all 20 tags are gone no other tags will be issued.
ii. Tag maybe revoked and not reissued.
b. Not having your tag at an event may constitute refusing a challenge Please bring
tags to events, Tags must be attached to bags in a visible location and carried at all times.

a. All players will be ranked from 1-20 from combined scores at Gizzard City Open.
Players purchasing after Gizzard City Open will receive the lowest tag available.
a. Challenges will be made by challenging up in rank. The cdga bag tag challengde
will start June 12th 2010 (Gizzard City Open) and end October 14th 2010 (last day of
b. The player who gets challenged will give the challenger 2 dates he can make within
a 2 week period to get the match completed or lose his ranking (tag). If the original
challenger cannot make the 2 dates given the challenge is void and both players can look
for new challenges. Not showing up for a match results in a forfeit and a loss of the
highest ranking tag. (20 minute leeway)
c. Tournament and League Play
i. A contestant does not have to accept a challenge in the final round of a
ii. Tournaments and leagues supersede phone and forum challenges. Challenges at
leagues and tournaments are to be made in person.
iii. Players using different tees in tournaments are competing against only other
players using the same tee format.
d. Phone Challenge
i. You may challenge a player at any time. The person being challenged gets to
pick the course and tees. An courses is acceptable if both parties agree. Stroke play,
PDGA rules apply.
ii. The challenge may be void if the challenger looses a contest in the meantime.
iii. Unless it is the day of a league or tournament event, it is considered a phone
e. Ties are won by the holder of the lower bag tag at the beginning of the round.
f. Incomplete round: If a player does not complete the round, the exiting player
needs to trade tags with the higher tag number.
g. If play is stopped by hazardous weather, physical emergency this must be a mutual
agreement no tags are exchanged.
h. You don't have to play back-to-back challenge rounds against the same player. A
player can't challenge you, lose to you, and immediately challenge you again for another
round. However, if ALL parties agree, consecutive round challenges are allowed.
Challenges MUST be verbally agreed upon at the beginning of EACH round.
a. Players holding tags must update the club with the results of each challenge. It is
preferred to post on the bag tag challenge post on the www.discgolfscene.com
b. The winner of the challenge is responsible for reporting the results of the challenge.
c. Players wishing to get information as to who holds each tag may check at
www.discgolfscene.com under CDGA Bag Tag Challenge.
d. If you are unable to post results on www.discgolfscene.com please email results to

a. When a tag is declared lost, it becomes ineligible for prizes.
b. A new tag number can be issued for a fee of $5.00 until all 20 tags are sold no

Bring your tags to the end of year event.... I repeat bring you tags to end of year event. if you do not have your tag you can not enter into the drawing.

last day to buy tag
Sept. 6th will be the last day to buy into the tag challenge. please look for chad during the day or jason at night if you would like to get in. raffle at end of year for a portable basket $500 in total prizes.
