Also just for info Camp Taloali has Membership camp weekend Oct 5,6,7. Not sure if we can use course those days or not, just something to think about.

I'm still curious about the plans for the Bag Tag finale this year. Be nice to know some dates so people can plan for it, especially since it's two days. Also what is plan for which courses played and such.

My biggest concern about the dallas course would be dealing with any and all others that may be in park, May not be as bif of problem in October of whenever final is played. Just a thought after playing there other day. Also might be a good idea to give parks department both salem and dallas a heads up as to plans, that is one thing Salem parks department would like when we have events at salem parks.

GLOW 4SHOW Ginger! perhaps not most but alot of us do infact play glow matches for tags. even if its just 9 holes. or perhaps have the last day of the finale end at woodmansse so those that want to nut up and put there tags up for glow can? -thanks for reading my 2cents

A glow round should NOT be part of the Bag Tag Finale because bag taggers seldom play bag tag matches at glow anyway.

I agree and don't agree. First(don't agree), your opinion does matter since you took the time to comment. Second(agree), 100 players at any course would be a nightmare, but typically about 60% of the bag taggers actually show up for the Finale and we have never split, played 5 courses, or finished when we expect to before. So my point being we should start planing and plan it carefully. I think tiers for all 5 courses is a good idea, it would require 2 or 3 TDs to run it (1 for ea tier) and sign ... more

Friday night 6pm-7pm sign up at Top Dog (bag tag dump / pick up players pack)

Saturday tee off; Tier 1 @ Dallas (TD Chris W.) 8am, then Cascades 11am, then lunch, then Taloali
Tier 2 @ Taloali (TD Vance) 8am, then lunch, then Cascades 1pm, then Dallas
Tier 3 @ Cascades (TD Beast) 8am, then Dallas 11am, then lunch, then Taloali
Note: Tier 1 & 3 at Taloali in pm, yet Tier 3 has more travel so should start later and Tier 2 TD (Vance) will end day at home. Tier 1 always faster, done in time to be out of the way.

Sunday tee off; Tier 1&2 @ Keizer (TD Chris W.) 8am, then Lunch @ Woodmansee, then Woodmansee, then Top Dog
Note: Tier 1&2 is larger group and will be slower so must Finnish near Top Dog
Tier 3 @ Woodmansee (TD Beast) 8am, then Lunch @ Woodmansee, then Keizer, then Top Dog
Note: Tiers 1, 2 & 3 all at Woodmansee for lunch at the same time (maybe food provided), Tier 3 needs more time to get to awards ceremony at Top Dog, but is smaller group so may Finnish sooner.

I hated glow when I first started playing it because it diddnt make any difference where you were playing it was always a bitch to find discs. Weather they be lighted or glow. But....sence the introduction of the LED blacklight....it is extreamly easy to find discs no matter what course your on. That being said.....I feel that the most open course (cascade) accuatly becomes the most fun for glow. The next issue is that even if we do play a glow round at some course. A large majority of the 100+ bagtaggers that we have won't even come out for that round due to not wanting to be out all night or not having the right equiptment for glow. So how do u do the over all scores for those people that arnt going to go to glow.In my opinion. It would be possible to play all 5 courses if we split all of the bagtaggers up for all of the courses instead of just two. No matter what we do...100 people on any course would be a nightmare.

Split was discussed at a club meeting. Tier 1 Woods in am then Keizer pm Sunday, Tier 2 Keizer in am then Woods pm Sunday. I'm more interested in the idea of having awards ceremony at Top Dog. Comments on that? BTW it is easier to find discs during glow rounds where low levels of ambient light make it seem really dark. Also NO moon helps. Cascades has too many lights near by. Best glow course in Salem area is Taloali, VERY DARK! You can see a disc berried in a bush because it's lit up. ... more

Last year we also had lunch at Woodmansee, that took way longer than expected. If I remember correctly, I ran the grill and people where taking very rare burgers just to move it along. Lunch plans need to be quicker, maybe Kyle could come out.

Woomansee IS a 9 hole/fairway course by area but those of us who built tee-pads there know it plays as 18:)

I agree woods would be a nightmare with that many people trying to play on a 9 hole layout. Its just not feasible unless split and even then its gonna take a long time.

Dallas, nine at woods, keizer on sat taloali then cascades on sun logistically this is what will work if you want to play all five I know you are going to freak out about only nine at woods but it is a nine hole course you can't have it both ways 54 holes plus drive time just won't work on the shorter days of october if we are going to play dallas it needs to be early as that park gets busy on weekends taloali and cascades on sun so those rounds go quick start the awards early this could work I'm checking dates now we will see how it goes
