Pads were shoveled but still got another coating as it snowed while we were playing

John Minicuci    January 20, 2013 at 8:01am

34 players today. 2 Cali's. Scores are posted. Nice shootin' Darren Harper - Cali, tied for 1st with Ted Stoebling / Mike Walker and Justni Hundich / Shaun Adkins. $3 extra dollars from making change added into the Ace Pool making it $120 going into Firefighters next week.

So about half the pads are clear, the rest are chunks of ice.

Shouldnt matter, the rain and temp will take care of it all tomorrow

John Minicuci    January 10, 2013 at 2:54am

Is there something going on at Stony?

Chris Leo    January 9, 2013 at 9:37pm

Mike, I would have to agree with you about the tee pads. Especially with the weather this weekend and the potential for rain tomorrow.

i would have to imagine the pads at stony are good.does anyone know for sure?

Dan Bienkowski    January 5, 2013 at 8:46pm

What are the conditions of the tpads? I see the post about needing salt, but have they been done at all?

Jay B   January 5, 2013 at 11:04am

yes dan i have been keeping up the pads at ff, we played skins last nite and didnt have any problems, just a few of them that could use a little salt

Dan Bienkowski   January 5, 2013 at 11:20am

thx... for the info and for the work on the pads. debating on playing today and really wasnt wanting to play on snowy/icy pads.

Jay B   January 5, 2013 at 12:22pm

No prob man you can just about count on ff's pads being clean 90% of the time

Jay B    January 5, 2013 at 6:57pm

If anyone has a little bit of salt they could bring id be glad to spread it on the pads that need it before the round starts

Yes, long night out. It's too late to change locations and the new snowfall probably didn't matter. I will pick up some salt on my way. Bring shovels!!!

Mike Walker    December 29, 2012 at 8:43pm

I would assume star unless we hear something different.just checked bends pads.a lil slushy with some salt from yday trying its best.

Mike Walker    December 29, 2012 at 7:35pm

Btw,thanks dan b for clearing the pads with me yday.

Bends!!

John Minicuci    December 29, 2012 at 2:38am

I am heading out for the night. I know FF and River Bends have clean pads. If Starr still still has snow covered pads, should we switch now?

Chris Leo   December 28, 2012 at 4:43pm

I would say so, even though I will not be able attend due to car problems. I believe the people would rather play on a course with known clean pads.

Mike Walker   December 28, 2012 at 5:16pm

pads are mostly clean at bends.salt ran low toward back and had to ration.keep in mind some pads will still most likely be rough.someone platyed beforehand and trampled the snow on the pads down.

John Minicuci   December 28, 2012 at 6:55pm

Jay did FF - Mr. Walker did Bends. Looks like 3 so far for Bends. I may or may not be able to do a driveby on the way home to check on Starr but at this point, I say no to Starr and a slight advantage to Bends...

John Minicuci    December 27, 2012 at 10:36pm

BOBIS is at Starr this coming Saturday. Is anyone who lives or plays there regularly going to be able to clear the pads b4 then?

Jay B   December 27, 2012 at 1:21pm

if i didnt just clean all 18 at ff i would but that wasnt an easy task and im spent now so its someone elses turn lol

John Minicuci    December 22, 2012 at 3:51am

I can do that too! Makes making change for everyone easier. Let's say if any group hits a 3 on hole 17 their group gets the change from the $20. If not, it will go into the Ace Pool.
