I like the Kaptin's thoughts of getting back to basics, so voting booths are extended!!!! March Madness baby.....Polls are open until 12pm this Thursday. As it stands, the Pirates are trying to divert the ship to:
The Brown Frown - 4
Expo Park (Colorado) - 1
I took Bo's vaca run as a vote, never know where some Pirates be sailing ;)

Where are all the votes, are we being yellow? Since Dan is looking to keep it local, I'll toss out a vote for BROOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWN Park! So here is how we stand
Doodoo Brown - 2 **includes the sudo Sega vote**

Since we're discussing dates and all...I will be out for this weekend as I will be out of town, and I will also be gone the first weekend in April which I believe is the round before the tourney. I'll be going South to Plunder the shores of the Carolinas. That only gives me one more round with you guys (the 31st at Pirate Bay) before the bag tag tourney. Just wanted everyone to know now that I will not be there to turn in my tag the round before the tourney just in case I end up with a top tag and be accused of ye olde "round dodging". You've been warned! CHAAAA!!!!
I am sure that since you know ahead of time you could turn in whatever tag you have at the Pirate Bay round that you can make. However I am sure someone from the council will clarify what the SOP would be in this case
Scratch that, didn't realize the 31st is Easter. Unless something changes I prob won't see you guys til the 14th.
well make sure ur tag gets turned in proir get it to one of us

The winds of change are blowing in for me as I set my sails for the West. I will be on vacation in Colorado March 23-30, don't get back in to Detroit until the wee hours of Sunday morning the 31st. Count me out the next 2 weeks of play as I spread the CHA all over the Rocky Mountains. I will be back for the April 7th round with me #12 tag.
making putts with the mountains in your view is pretty sweet, very jealous!
Yo Bo, If you can get ahold of Don and play Rio Grande River Retreat. It's in southern Colorado and you get to use a zipline to get over river and then back. Info on DG review.com Have fun!
Now that sounds like crazy fun. Thanks Chilly! Bad part is, it is 223 miles away from Aurora. If we get a full day away I may give it a go, thanks for the tip!

I'm thinking a fundraiser for 24 chains is in order. I have in my possession a BROWN PARK stamped (with the mighty Joe F's fist) Z Xtra (clear/white) with a color max stamp. Starting the bid at 15 doubloons. If you are interested bring your treasure chest!!!
ALL FUNDS (not just proceeds like other 'charity organizations') will go to the 24 Chains Pirates!

Just so y'all know the Ad-Mer-All will be out due to family conflict The Kaptain will be aboard to take this ship of surrly bunch ashore. Just so we all know come Sunday we have been slowly incorperating a limit to the mob. I see 20ish votes on there so just so we understand we have yes always mob deep, but the rounds are starting to stretch out in to the day just a bit. This can infringe on players who can not be out for 4+ hour rounds so we have decided to make an unofficial cap at 16. ... more
No said we are stopping the madness. It infact will make it a little worse. Now think of the poor saps playing to twosoom that roll up on the first group and think "WOW what a bunch of ****holes" only to walk right in to it a second time? All the time all of us yelling at each other hole to hole? We are spreading out the crazy so it takes up more of the feild now.
I some how don't think a bunch of drunken pirates on two different holes are this complexed, but we also can't ryhme that well either. By the way +10 dork factor for that video

We can do Thursday, I was just following the Admirals lead. Either way, we are going to da Mills. I kind of see this as a warm up to the craziness to come in April. So get on your boots, because we are going on a wild ride. Group up on the main page, so take a peek. St. Patrick will be there, so it's going to be a fun round just with that news alone ;)

Holy crap?!?!? there are 15 votes on the board? Man I step away for a day and look what happens. As always big ups to Mr. Even who helps us keep up when the coucil can't make it to a computer. I might have to check with the rest of the board. We might have strayed away from the way and I could be confused, but it use to be 2 days to suggest games, 2 days to vote, two days to figure out rides. Like I said I'm not on the boards half as much as I need to be, but that was how it was in the good old days. I think? I am getting old. Not as old as Sprow though
I'm sure you can take me. To Old Country Buffet cause you get a discount with AARP card.
Hey, I was not the one who received a card in the mail now was I?....BAZINGA!
Just remember, Early Bird Specials are from 4-6pm. Shouldn't be an issue since you guys are in bed by 8

Matt "The Spider" Swider March 12, 2013 at 2:38pm
Mills.
Sean Newland March 12, 2013 at 9:26am
I'll throw a vote for Hudson, been awhile since I've been there.
Let's go Expo! :) Short trip to Detroit Metro Airport, you gain 2 hours and the weather is a lot nicer!
I played Expo Park last time I was out there about 2 months ago. Not bad, but if you're in the area might as well go big and play Colorado Heights
That is the new course that went in last year right? Wasn't ready last time I was there, but will be sure to check it out. Thanks Nick!
Yea, it's in and it is sweet. I would hit up milehighdiscgolf website and see if you can get one of the locals to play, it's private but you can play with a member free. If not, play at your own risk they'll just ask you to leave. Also, get a map if you go solo, it's difficult ... more

If not, play at your own risk they'll just ask you to leave. Also, get a map if you go solo, it's difficult to navigate first time. I would also check out Camenish Park (27 Holes) again, get a map it will be tough to navigate, that one is free to play. If you're feeling adventurous, head out to Conifer (about 1hr from Denver) for the day, you've got Beaver Ranch and Phantom Falls, those two are EPIC, although I would double check to make sure they are open this time of the year.
Think I may split a membership for my brother who lives there, then he can get me in free. Camenish Park is on my request list to him, both courses (18/9) so that is a definite. Thanks for all the advice, gonna be a sweet trip for sure.
Johnny Roberts is the Cass Benton of Denver. It's fun but it is casual city, wouldn't recommend any time past 4pm, or noon on the weekend. No on the day/week passes - its annual only and its 50 bucks. Camenish Park is awesome, so is Beaver Ranch. Both will be muddy this time of the yea ... more

No on the day/week passes - its annual only and its 50 bucks. Camenish Park is awesome, so is Beaver Ranch. Both will be muddy this time of the year, especially Beaver, I'd bring boots just in case. I would double check Beaver is still in, I'm not sure if they pull the baskets for the winter or not, I would look into that prior before driving out. Good time of the year to be there, expect weather in the 60's and sun everyday.
You have to love when we start referring to other courses as "The Cass Benton of XXXX" Brilliant!
BRROOOWWWWNNNNN PARK !
