Wednesday League Week #6

The DG Gods won out and kept the T-storms away all night. It's funny how many times we've gotten great weather with an 80% chance of storms. No new players last night, but still had 39 show up. A great turnout for sure. Please remember to show up on time (5:20) or call me at 315-415-3660 if you're running late. It's no problem for me to put a mini in for someone who's going to be a few minutes late and I always have my phone nearby from about 4:45 on. Anyone showing up after teams are pulled won't make it. Sorry about last night, now it should be clear. I'll get you an Arnold Palmer Hard next time I see you Nick.

Week#5

40 golfers showed up on a gusty night at Clay, including newbies Allen "Tex" Price, Ryan "Happy" Gilmore, and Matt Bailey's Irish Cream. We all drank the Kool-Aid and donated to the Eric McCabe pocket money fund, except for Doah, who benefited from a clerical error and ended up going from X-Man to McCabe's partner. CTP $ went to Ass-Man, Heart-Man and Oz-Man. Kudos to Clements, Sweet and Don Courbat for helping out. I'll let Doug update the Ace Pool, but we should be over $200 and counting.

Week #4

Just when it looked like we'd only have 24 people, 7 showed up at the last minute despite the rain. Lucas West and Pat Hulle came out for their first night of league. It looked like it'd be a washout, but we only got a little light rain. A nice cool night for sure. The way the talent was distributed we just did A/B pool. Looking at the results, it seemed to work out fine. Laufer got the short end of the stick by being teamed up with the X-man with a hurting arm. All he said was, "at least ... more

Top net money winners after their weekly 10$ fees are deducted are:

Thanks everyone for coming out. The course really shows that it's getting used by good people. There was barely any trash out there. Keep bringing a bag when you're out there for casual rounds.

Week #3

What a turnout. A perfect day turned out a record crowd. 48 people came out for Wednesday league! With all the mayhem I may not have gotten all the new folks names correctly, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Francis (didn't get last name), John Buckley, Pam Murray, Reena Rowland, Dave Hartmann, Damion McDonald and Evan Willams all made it out for the first time. What a turnout. A perfect day turned out a record crowd. 48 people came out for Wednesday league! With all the mayhem I may not have gotten all the new folks names correctly, so please correct me if I'm wrong. When there's a B/B team in the top 3, it tells me the system is working. We also had a 7 way tie for the last money position. It was getting late, so instead of any kind of throw off, everyone got enough money for half a gallon of gas.

Thanks for everyone's patience. With that many people with varying skill level there's always going to be people that I'd like to put in C pool moving to B, as well as B moving to A. People could always be shuffled around, but it's only moving the problem to another pool. We do the best we can with a new roster each week. Hopefully everyone understands this. Thanks Chris Sweet for helping with the cards and cash. We would have been there until 9 if I was doing it on my own.

A perfect night at Jamesville Beach lured 39 golfers out on the first night of league. This number topped our biggest night last year, which was 38. Wednesday Night Leage Starts in 2 Days!!!
